The May 13 1969 has been described by some as the real Independence Day of Malaysia and not 31st August 1957. Why?Many described Tun Razak as the first Prime Minister of Malaysia.Tunku Abdul Rahman was just a transitory leader between a colonial state and a truly independent state of Malaya. The independence was given by way of negotiated passing over of soverignty on a silver platter. A negotiated form of independence to these people is just like a negotiated contract of today.Negotiated contract is not a true contract but a form of sanitised corrupt practice. So 31st August 1957 was not the true independence but was still a de facto British Colonial territory. This may sound a weird theory but many Malays believe so.
Independence of 1957 was just a watered down Malayan Union concept of a true colonial territory of Great Britain. In fact the British was only about to colonise Malaya in May 1946 by way of Malayan Union. Before that the Malay States were just under their indirect rule through their colonial advisers to the Malay Rulers. The Malays opposed the Malayan Union and they united to form the United Malay National Organisation or UMNO on 11th May 1946 at the Sultan of Johore Palace.
The formation of the Federation of Malaysia on 16th September 1963 was just an aberration and not needed by the Malays but purely to solve British colonial territories after the Great War.The Malays were more concerned about the territory of Singapore and the Malay States of Southern Thailand. However the Malays lost their two historic and rich territories to Singapore and Thailand. With the inclusion of Malay States of Southern Thailand the racial balance of the Federation of Malaya would be to the advantage of the Malays. These three territories were all part of Tanah Melayu the successor to the Great Malacca Empire of the 14th century.
The Chinese and the Indians were recent immigrants brought by the British economic and colonial exploitations of the Malay States. The Malays were not like the Red Indians of the America for they had their own nation states of under various Malay Rulers. It was a liberal form of colonialism by way of consents from various Malay Rulers and not by war of conquest. The only territory that was truly conquered and colonised was the city of Malacca by the Portuguese and only confined in the city area only from 1511 to 1642.
When Malaya was given her independence on 31st August 1957 the Malays were actually worst of than the immigrant races. This was the adverse condition that Malays woke up to demand their proper place as the people of the Malay land.Basically it was the issue of economic deprivation and inequality as an outcome of consented colonialism. As not a conquered people they believed they had the right to demand what should belonged to them.
Because of the 13th May incident UMNO did not wish to take a one hundred years time frame to restructure the economic imbalance by way of building up a true Malay business community. They wanted a quick fix solution to this economic imbalance. This is the root cause of the present corruption problems that the nation is facing now.Quick fix policy has produced many instant Malay millionaires and billionaires by way of crony capitalism.Their partners are normally Chinese businessmen and MCA-Gerakan political parasites.
They together by design and intent have frustrated the effort to create a true Malay business community. There has been no real change from the time before Independence till today for the greater Malay race. This was why people like Ibrahim Ali could exploit the unsatisfactory conditions of the Malays in the economy to stoke racial tensions. It has been a pure economic issue now and before. The Malays perceive that for 50 years they had neen exploited by their leaders and now their leaders are abandoning them to placate the Chinese and other races. They suffer double jeopardy at both ends.
As we are all Malaysian now irrespective of race or religion we must come together and rebuild our country with a new concept of multi-racialism as envisaged by the Pakatan.UMNO political economy of enriching themselves and a small group of cronies and family members at the expense of the greater number of other Malays must be rejected forthwith.Inputs from PAS and DAP AND NGOs representing all other races must be consulted and any master policy must be fully debated in Parliament.

Can pakatan command equal rights to all races and abolish bumiputra status. We know the past,we want the future to be set right. Our ancestors ruled this land long before your existence, however when comes to acknowledgement, all the evidences are being destroyed like the Hindu city discovered in johore and many other places of Swarnabumi.
