Anwar: Umno-BN no longer fears even God

Anwar - BN is no longer afraid of even God!

Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has vowed to distribute copies of a document that clearly shows Prime Minister Najib Razak’s public relations firm, APCO, was among a panel of firms selected to work on the Israeli government’s OneIsrael project.

“I am going to print and give out copies of the proof that I have that APCO is behind the One Israel concept, and connected to the Israeli regime. What can they do? Nothing,” Anwar told a packed and loudly-cheering rally in Balik Pulau on Saturday night.

Umno-BN no longer fears God

To stop him from making further embarrassing revelations, Najib’s government had banned Anwar from Parliament for 6 months along with three other Pakatan Rakyat lawmaker, Karpal Singh, Azmin Ali and Sivarasa Rasiah.

The brute force with which Najib hammed through the suspension without giving Anwar and his colleagues a chance to defend themselves has shocked Malaysians.

“The outrageous parliamentary proceeding on Thursday to trample on all parliamentary conventions and practices and breach the fundamental rules of natural justice to suspend the four PR leaders is the latest proof that the Barisan Nasional government has not learnt from the lessons of the 2008 general elections which was a clear vote for national reforms to end the arrogance of power of unbroken Umno-BN,” said DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang

“It is now left to the Malaysian people to use their vote in the next general elections, which is not far away, to administer the full lesson by sending an unmistakable message that the country needs wide-ranging reforms and institutional changes, including Parliament, if Malaysia is to fulfill her promise to take her rightful place in the international arena as an united, competitive, progressive and prosperous nation in the international arena.”

No respect for law or justice

In his speech, Anwar also accused Umno-BN of being promoters of a pagan society that no longer fears even God. He slammed their hypocrisy, their intention to deceive the Malaysian public, and their determination to rob the Malaysian people of their national wealth and right to justice.

“These are the characteristics of a Jahilliyah society. They do not respect the rule of law,” said Anwar. “They can hang me for six months, I do not care. I will fight harder. They suspended Azmin Ali too for six months - for what? Because he just mentioned about APCO’s letter.”

He was referring to Gombak MP and PKR deputy president Azmin. Like Anwar, the 46-year old Azmin has come under intense Umno attack because of his youth and dynamism. There is fear within the BN that Azmin – a fiery orator - will mature into another force to be reckoned with as he continues to tour the nation with the Pakatan roadshow that he is now leading.
