What about non-bumiputera rights under the New Economic Model?
I know being a Malay-first and to reassure the Malays, you had to say that, but who in the government is going to speak for non-Malay Malaysians who have been marginalised until now? Is it not a fair question for you to address?
UMNO is trying to endear to the Malays and hope that pro-Malay rhetoric will translate into votes for BN. Thanks to the Internet, most urban Malays are aware that Umnoputras have used their positions to enrich themselves, their families and their cronies while throwing some crumbs at the still impoverished Malays.
Malaysians know about the masterminds behind the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder and the RM500 million kickback from the unnecessary purchase of submarines, and about the billionaire thieves like Mahathir's son (Mirzan), who invests in a haram brewery, while simple local Malays get caned for drinking beer.
Malaysians know that the bulk of the RM320 billion estimated to have been lost to corruption since the 1980s would have been stolen by the top Umnoputras. Only the rural Malays, who do not have access to the alternative media, are most likely to be fooled by the BN leaders. The next elections will tell us if Umno can fool most of the Malays all the time.
Umno has not only have failed the poor Malays but also the poor Chinese and the poor Indians. They have only enrich the elite group, their cronies and of course, themselves. How long must we suffer this discrimination among Malaysians?
As predicted Najib has done nothing so far but he is diving the society as much as possible to win the General election and he is the mastermind of all the havocks in Malaysia. It does not need to be said; UMO and bumiputera rights will be protected under the NEM. It will be there as long as UMNO rule Malaysia. UMNo will be supported by hooligans such as Ibrahim Alis and the pseudo-Malay Ridhuan Tees, unethical Awang Selamat and Utusan Malaysia bastards.. They have trouble seeing it given their warped minds are impervious to logical and rational reasoning.
Now that our economy is heading south, partly because foreign investors find Malaysia's (NEP) discriminatory policies unacceptable, the pendatang along with their Malaysian earning are also leaving the Malaysian shores. Our petroleum reserves are depleting and there are no positive measures by the current government to revive the economy.
So how are you planning to pay for these so-called bumiputera privileges? By shouting 'bumi privileges! bumi privileges! bumi privileges!' at every given opportunity? Is that how bumis are going to live? On rhetoric alone?
Najib, what is the different between NEM and NEP?
