Sarawakian Bumiputera blind, deaf and dumb?

It's difficult to change or convince the rural folks that there's a light at the end of the tunnel for them. They are deep -rooted in their ways and psyche for lack of good education and opening their eyes to the world beyond.

There will always be that "great divide" between rural and city folks. Obviously, BN would love to keep it that way so that they can hold on to power. If Malaysia sees urbanisation being driven into the rural areas then the rural majority will slowly be eroded.

BN may talk about development and making progress economically but sometime they will pull the horses on the sly. The talk is for show. They are not willing to jettison the rural population into the modern world en mass for that would bring their downfall when these rural folks learn how to use the internet, read, attain a better understanding of the world that has forgotten them for so long.

This is also an important lesson for both PKR and SNAP. There are no ways the opposition can win the election if they don't co-operate and merge. Any party just can't hope to win by simply putting a candidate. A lot of ground work has to be done. In this election, we see that there are already some supporters for the opposition in the rural areas. I sincerely hope that the opposition will set up more branches in order to serve the people and prepare for the coming general election.

I can assure that Dayak will suffer for 5 years. Let thief minister take your land, FEED YOU WITH ZINC, your lives.

Congratulations to Sarawakians for re-electing a corrupt BN led government. The saying...you reap what you sow is apt in this instance. Taib and Geng have been given the vote and the license to keep plundering the state's wealth and the dayak's lands.

Despite the opposition winning more seats than before they are still not enough to dislodge this "dirty tactics" BN from the seat of power in Sarawak. Many Sarawakians have failed to come out of the "stone age" to push for change. They have failed to make history. Maybe the majority of them preferred to be "enslaved" by robber baron Pek Moh and accept irrelevant gifts that won't make them enjoy a better life.

People who sleeps deserve what they get. A sad day for Sarawak, indeed. A window of opportunity is gone.

Sarawak bumiputra should see where the nation is today - irrespective of our race. What we, as a nation, achieve todate compared to our neighbours - Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and etc. We have had the same management to manage our country for almost 50 years. Could we as a nation, have done better ? Are the achievement up to your expectation ? Your answer should guide your action to act for our future and the generation after us.
