Malaysians have had enough of Najib's hypocrisy and spineless attitude

During the heights of the Tun's premiership, when PAS grew in strength, we had an Islam versus Islam political coup. Remember the Memali incident? Responding as predicted by the ruling government, Malaysians of all faiths rallied behind the prime minister to support the Doctor's brand of Islam while victimizing PAS eventually.

Today, under the distinguished late Tun Razak's son's premiership, we are witnessing an Islam verses Christianity war of sorts. And the black horse that is riding the battle lines is the Utusan newspaper.

To add to the tempo, the unrelenting PERKASA is drumming up even more seditious fueling challenges.

Many citizens have responded with their thoughtful, judicious and caring opinions in the media. The general feeling is that all these Islam - Christianity bashing and challenging and alarm bell tolling is totally uncalled for in a multi-racial society that is highly vulnerable given the catastrophic East- West civilization rift in the world of today.

But the authorities - especially the leaders within the BN regime are seemingly floating like a butterfly unable to sting like a bee on those who are raising undue and uncalled for alarms and forceful tear attempts at the fabric of religious acceptance and respect that has been upheld by faithfulls of all religions in the country.

And of course the 'alternative' political parties will also seize the political mileage raising the tempo even further.

Now one wonders what really is the final intent for all these discords? Why are Malaysians being constantly pushed to the corner in such unfair and cruel manner?

Is not the daily pangs of putting food on the table tough enough given the escalating cost of living and shrinking wages for the working population? Why then are the politicians and their allies tampering with the rakyat's emotions?

Do the politic ans not realize that they are party to the crime of driving a wedge between citizens of this land by allowing, clamoring and publicizing all these 'hatred' and suspicion creation daily doses into the hearts of the population?

What in the final analysis do the politicians and their masters really want? Riots? Religious war? Destruction of harmony?

Please Mr Honorable Prime Minister, the honor and responsibility rests on your shoulders to put a decisive stop to all this. Each single day that you allow such fueling of religious misunderstandings, you would have compounded the nation closer to its perilous future.

If the politicians and their leaders cannot redress, then let all the leaders of all the religions in Malaysia step forward, convene and stamp their united and respected position for the world to see. Stand up for humanity for all our religions dictate that we must not pit man against man for our own self-interest.

Otherwise, we too would have joined the failed nations that are caught in the East-West clash of civilizations. Then it will be a point of no return for all Malaysians.
