Sex video: CD copies distributed to village headmen in S'gor

The sex tape allegedly involving an opposition politician is being widely distributed in Selangor, with reports of even village headmen in Hulu Bernam and Kuala Kubu Baru having received copies by post.

Others said to have received copies of the pornographic material in the mail include village headmen and others in Sekinchan, Hulu Langat, Kuala Selangor and Rawang.

Following this development, 10 village headmen from Kuala Kubu Baru lodged a police report over the surprise find in their mail yesterday.

According to a headman from Hulu Bernam, Mohamad Salleh Ri, the 10 from Kuala Kubu Baru who received the sex VCDs obtained their copies at their homes by mail, and they jointly lodged a police report at 4pm yesterday.

"The 10 who received copies of the tape were eight headmen from Chinese villages and one each from a Malay and an Indian village. The VCD is the full version, which had already been uploaded on the Internet. From the postal stamping on the envelopes, the mail originated from Shah Alam and Malacca."

"We want the police to investigate who is responsible for distributing this tape," Salleh said this afternoon.

'This should not have happened'

According to Salleh, the village headmen were shocked to receive the pornographic material as its distribution, even possession, is against the law.

"It is truly unfortunate that it had been posted to the village headmen," he said.

Salleh said he was informed that two Malay village headmen from Hulu Bernam also received VCD copies of the sex act through the post. However, he said, he had not received the tape.

"All the village headman in Hulu Bernam will wait to see if more such tapes arrive by post, and if this is so, we will lodge more police reports," he said, adding there are 18 villages in Hulu Bernam, of which 14 are Malay villages, three Chinese and one Indian.

Salleh, who is the headman of Kampung Gesir Tengah, said he got to know that a friend, who is a village headman in Kuala Selangor, also received a copy of the VCD this morning.

Selangor exco member Ean Yong Hian Wah said in a press statement today that copies of the sex VCD are also being distributed in Hulu Langat, Rawang and Sekinchan.

Ean, who holds the new village development and illegal factories resettlement portfolio, has urged those who received the tape to make police reports.

When Syrian cleric Dr Wahbah Az Zuhaili, was delivering his talks in Kuala Langat and Selayang in support of Anwar, copies of the sex VCD turned up at the two sites as well.
