I and my brother was an ex student forn Limkokwing University, studying in Faculty of Business and Faculty of IT. We left the University as we do not believe in the education quality and the system in that University. There are too many hank panky businesses going in that University which the Education ministry is not aware. We were so frustrated when we paid so much in return we received very much less which is not the money we spent. We left the University even though we lost heavy amount for withdrawing. The list goes on like this.
1. Most of the lecturers are Malays & Arabs and they are unable to speak fluently in English. We wonder what was the category of hiring lecturers in that University.
2. Lectures don’t have the skills and the knowledge to provide a good lecture. Their knowledge is limited and sometime they don’t even teach in the class and talk some stories. Some of the IT lecturers only teach theories but no practical knowledge.
3. Students cheat and copy in the exam room but no action taken against them. The lecturers are like puppet in the exam room as students have more power than lecturers.
4. When we asked one of the lecturers, why aren’t you taking any action against those students who copy and cheat, they said Tan Sri Limkokwing will fire them.
5. Most of the cheating and copying students score high in the exam and the sincere students have no fair evaluation. That’s why most of the students don’t study and we also being influenced by them not to study.
6. Most of the students done even come to class but can sit in the final exam and score high. What kind of University will do that? When i ask one of the lecturers that this student did not come to lecture class at all and how come he scored an A in the subject, the lecturer said he has no power to bar the student as Tan Sri Limkokwing will fire the lecturers.
7. The lecturers will beg students to send their assignments as most of the students will not come to class.
8. Some lecturers even sell things in the class as their part time business. If we don’t buy from them, we will not get good grades.
9. Now they have global class room and student go to UK, have a nice time, no academic, just fun but in the end get good grades. What is the justification, when we asked the management; they said Tan Sri Limkokwing need to maintain his expenditures overseas.
10.Students smoke cigarette and weed in the University and no action by the management, again we asked the management and lectuters, why no action, same answer Tan Sri Limkokwing will fire them.
11.Most of the time the lecturers are cancelled due to non academic events in the university and students are not interested in such events. Some even promise that extra marks will be given if the students attend the events
12. Very poor facilities in the lecture rooms and the lecture room is filthy.
I wonder why such a University exists in Malaysia, destroying the name of education. I hope the government will take some action against the University. We were afraid to write this to any government department since everyone in the University says he has good links with government official.

i feel very sad when i go through with your post.....i am too the student from Limkokwing university and have faced same issue of lack of education facilities and no good lecturer. I was brilliant student working very hard for study in my bachelor. then i came to limkokwing university for doing my masters, but the study and load i get in limkokwing was much less than what i used to do in SPM. even though i finished my masters with good grade of 3.8, but i was not satisfied with the marks due to low education.
After i finished my masters i thought of improving the education system of limkokwing by providing better education to students, but they didnt gave me chance to teach as i am an indian.
very frustrated with this university. Now i am a lecturer in public university in Malaysia and my students are very happy with me and my teaching.
They just make fool to foreign students with their marketing.
This is the consequence of too many private institutes. Unfortunately business prevail above education. I try to promote Open Source Software especially the ERP. They ignore. These institutes follow the market. Now this university makes promotion. I sent a comment to Tan Sri's blog. Still no reply. Statements are nice, but it seems that is all.

Tan Sri Limkokwing is just an arrogant businessman, not an educator or academician hence does not realise the importance of a good education but just focuses on creating a brand image. Anyone can become a lecturer at Limkokwing as long as they know how to workup the chain of contacts. almost 70% of the lecturers and managerial staff at Limkokwing are alumni who were either bonded or are trying to escape the uncertainties in their own home country (Iranians and Palestinians especially). And the "most globalised eco-system" crap that they keep selling to students is a whole lot of BS because this place has created more racists than any other organisation of the world.

i have read all your posts, but that is entirely not true i disagree with you, LUCT is very good in terms of lectures and i really love the teaching of the lecturers. Limkokwing is one of the best university in malaysia
This is absolutely lies, my brother studied in limkokwing and he now headed a successful institution in our country, Limkokwing is not like other universities in malaysia where you will study without connecting with other students n lectureres, that is the good thing about the school, no matter how your level of education is before you come to limkokwing, you will get inspire towrd world modern technology, pratically you will be equipped with sense of leadership, self expression, and confident. Socialisim with high IQ. The only weakness about limkokwing is their untenable to trend more offort on reseach which is the secoundry arms of education. So guys spot the facts now, the writer cant even express his mind in a very simple way. This is simply hatred.

How do you judge bad english if you can't express yourself well in english? I am an Architecture student in the university. In my design studio, all the lecturers are professionally registered architects. In the Television and Film Department they have highly skilled lecturers as well, one of them is Ray Kril, a reputable former film director from the United States. I would accept constructive criticism about the institution because it is not a perfect one, but you are making it hard for me to accept what you are submitting because you are full of hate.

1) So far, I only got 2 Malay lecturers and no Arab lecturer.
2) My lecturers provide excellent lectures.
3) Before every exam starts, my lecturer would say "cheating will lead to expulsion, so do not cheat, I repeat, do not cheat"
4) My lecturers don't sell things in class.
5) What do you mean by poor facilities??????? Got food, got prayer room, got toilet, got library, got gym, got cafe, got stationery shop, got swimming pool. Are you sure you were LUCT's student?

Hi. I hope this helps. To clarify, everything that limkokwing university portrays about itself is a complete lie. There is a reason why it's known as a 'party college'. Most students can't even hold on to a job because of its bad reputation. Graduates often have employment problems because they did not learn anything worthwhile. Classes are a sham and all the certificates are worthless.
Limkokwing university is a corrupted institution that only aims to take as much money from students especially foreign students. It is a university with meaningless educational focus, zero academic value and a complete disregard for integrity.
This 'University' spends enormous amount of money to collect awards/recognition/trophies while playing a very convincing but very misleading advertisements and videos to portray itself as a successful institution. Students who fail in other universities can easily get better grades as long as they paid extra. They use "multiculturalism" and "networking" as a gimmick in their key selling point but what they really meant is 'over-partying' and 'cronyism'. This university promotes campus parties so they distract students from realizing that they have been duped. This is why only hardworking students will suffer when they graduated.
Management also has a history of mistreating staff. From long hours and unfair practices, many of the lecturers are overworked and subjected to ridiculous request for various vanity events. These events also impact classes and prevent students from learning. Female staffs are most vulnerable. The prettier the girl, the more likely they will be targeted especially by the founder who is well-known for his perverse nature.
Be careful about anyone saying anything positive things about that place. They tend to be Limkokwing staffs that are paid to bring in more students. One favorite tactic is to use attractive female staff to entice more enrollments. These staff is also former students who have been lured there and are trapped. They do this by offering "Scholarship" opportunities to attractive students, who are later bonded to the company and are very vulnerable to exploitation. The worse affected are girls from war-torn countries.
If you have made the mistake of enrolling there, you should leave and warn others about that place. Staying there will only make things worse for you. If they threaten you, go to the media, it is the only thing they fear. You can also go to your country's embassy to make an official complaint and force them to issue you a refund. Under any circumstances, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS, they will try to hide it and make more problems for you.
There are so many negative things about that place that the only thing impressive about limkokwing university is that it can actually call itself a "university."

Don’t ever make that mistake to waste your money, time and energy in Limkokwing.
I am not a staff neither have any direct contact to anyone in the university. but this article is not true.
i was an ex student. i scored a CGPA of 3.9 WITHOUT CHEATING and my classmates were pretty competitive. at the beginning of each exam we were strictly told that cheating is not allowed and that they will take actions instantly if anyone get caught. 2 students who attempt to cheat were sent out from the exam hall immediately and was given 0 mark for the exam. one was someone i know and he had to repeat the module the next semester.
i can talk for my faculty. FCMB has good lecturers. qualified and experienced.
