Subplots emerge: Gerakan, MCA also played a hand in Anya 'molest'?

A sub-plot has emerged in Malaysia's latest sex scandal. Not only was Prime Minister Najib Razak's Umno party involved, but BN components Gerakan and MCA might have also played a part in the conspiracy to attack Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng through his son.

DAP leaders have accused Gerakan and MCA stalwarts of egging on coalition boss, Umno, into accusing Guan Eng's 16-year-old son of having molested a girl. The girl was later identified to be UK chess champion Anya Sun Corke, who has since denied knowing the boy at all and has sharply denounced those behind the rumours.

"Gerakan Youth could have revealed the information, which is not true but what it probably heard on the streets," said Ng Wei Aik, the Komtar assemblyman, who is also Lim's political secretary.

Don't blame us if you have constipation!

The DAP leader also blamed MCA Youth strategic planning chief Foo Seck Chyn, who had used the social networking sites to spread the lies while at the same time, trying to appear a white knight in the press and condemning the attacks against Lim's family.

Wei Aik also accused MCA president Chua Soi Lek's press secretary and former reporter Giam Say Khoon, Penang Gerakan Youth deputy chief H'ng Khoon Leng and Youth vice-chief Albert Tan Kah Leong as other accomplices in the plot that has boomeranged badly against the BN.

Meanwhile, Gerakan has shot back at Wei Aik, challenging the Komtar assemblyman to lodge a police report rather than make empty accusations. Gerakan publicity chief chief Thor Teong Gee accused Wei Aik of harboring a political motive in dragging Gerakan into the picture.

“Ng is equally playing gutter politics and laying the blame on Gerakan for every negative issue. Don’t simply make allegations without any substantive evidence. Don’t simply drag us into muddy water when you or your boss are unhappy,” Thor saijavascript:;d in a statement.

“Don’t blame the Gerakan if you have constipation and can’t go to the toilet. As an elected people’s representative, please talk with sense and facts."
