HINDRAF’s Contribution to Just and Social Values in Malaysia

posterJust like how a caterpillar turns into a dry leaf like pupa and then into a beautiful butterfly, HINDRAF is contributing to a metamorphosis within Malaysian society. It may not at all be apparent when you see the wriggly caterpillar or the dry leaf like pupa, which what awaits in the future, is a beautiful butterfly.

HINDRAF, borne out of a need felt by the poor and marginalized Indians, really is a product of the tendency of the Malaysian socio-political system. The poor and marginalized Indians who happen to be at the farthest end of the whip are most sensitive to the idiosyncrasies of the system. HINDRAF is a creative outcome and has become a fundamental human rights defender as a result. The creative approaches taken by HINDRAF to bring about fundamental changes to the political landscape of Malaysia is surely something to be known and something to be studied.

So, please do come and attend these dinners where there will be interesting dispositions of the various initiatives of HINDRAF. You will be able to see a big new picture of a different political reality emerge. Come and listen to the ways in which HINDRAF's civil suit in the UK against the British government, its championing human rights issues of the marginalized Indians on the ground, its relentless pursuit of the dismantling of the institutionalized racist infrastructure that Dr Mahathir has crafted and honed and its determined opposition to religious supremacy all add up to a large creative political initiative for fundamental political change.

HINDRAF is now an internationally recognized human rights organization.

Be prepared for an interesting evening.
