Mahathir talks nonsense - Malaysiakini interview

I refer to the interview given by ex Premier Mahathir Mohamad to Malaysiakini.
The ex premier laments that the Indians never appreciated him. Why should the Indians say thank you to a man who “threw the seeds” of hatred, marginalization and discrimination during his regime.

There is no doubt that the intake for medical seats was the worst during his tenure. And yet he had the audacity to complain that the Indians never thanked him for ultimately being doctors.

Instead of wanting to claim credit for what he doesn’t deserve, he should provide proof that he was the reason for the success of the Indians. Most Indians sold off their property and lifelong savings to educate their children and provide them a career opportunity that they deserve according to their qualifications.

Unfortunately Mahathir failed to address the failure of the Government (his) to provide opportunities to good ranking students who performed well at their STPM and SPM levels. They deserved good courses at Universities. Our Country needs the best brains to serve the country and Mahathir is guilty of suppressing them (Indians and Chinese) on grounds of Racist and Fascist policies.

Despite the suppression the Indians and Chinese have made it through their own sacrifices i.e. most had to sell their only property and lifelong savings to educate their children overseas only for them to return to this country to serve. Even then, they are discriminated and various restrictions imposed on their qualifications on grounds that their Universities are not recognized when the rest of the world could do so. One cannot forget it was during Mahathir’s era that his “great education Minister” derecognized a Russian University upon visiting the said university and realizing 80% of Malaysian students there were Indians.

To cut a long story short “ Mahathir you do not deserve a thank you from the Indians – I can go on listing the number of atrocities you committed to the non Malays in this country.

Leaders like you and your successors should learn to appreciate and welcome the “best brains” available to this country for its progressive development. Education and nation building has nothing to do with Race or the Malay Special Privileges. Politicians like you and your successors are deliberately suppressing the “best brains” the country inherited for your personal agenda.
ISNT THAT NOT BETRAYING YOUR COUNTRY MY DEAR EX PRIMIER??

  1. I fully agree. TDM is a shit and does not deserve any credit. He trampled on the Indians and yet we had survived. True to the article we had come up on our own steam. Get lost TDM and stop your rubbish and bullshit talk. You want change..get it done in UMNO and get rid of deadworks and corrupt officials in your Government (past or present it does not matter). You are the cause of all sickness prevailing in this country.
TDM..you should do a thorough soul searching...

  3. Subra: Soul-searching for MIC
    By NELSON BENJAMIN

SEGAMAT: MIC secretary general Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam said the party had expected changes, but not on the scale of losses it saw on polling day Saturday.

The MIC lost six of the nine parliamentary seats and 12 out of the 19 state seats it had contested nationwide.

Subramaniam, the highest ranking MIC candidate to “survive” the 12 General Election, said that the party had expected two to three seats to fall and tough fights elsewhere.

“We never anticipated the sudden swing, not only among Indian but also Chinese voters.

“We were completely wiped out in the north. We also lost three top guns in this elections,” he said, referring to party president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu who lost the Sg Siput seat, Datuk G. Palanivel (Hulu Selangor) and Datuk S. Sothinathan (Teluk Kemang).

Dr Subramaniam admitted that the party leadership would have to “do some soul searching” and the next four years would be a tough period for MIC.

“We will definitely have to work hard if we want to stay relevant," he said.

Dr Subramaniam won the Segamat parliamentary with a 2,991 majority. In 2004 he won with a 7,809 majority.

  5. Thanks to Tun Dr Mahathir, Sabah voters’ list (especially in the rural areas) is inflated with thousand of voters who a few years back were non-Malaysians. And this is done with the tacit help/encouragement of the federal (UMNO) government through Project IC.

It is still not too late to force the government to set up a Royal Commission to get to the root of the issue. Arrest and deport those who obtained their Malaysian citizenship illegally. Most of these people have also became instant Bumiputras overnight.

This is a time bomb left by Mahathir which will in the future forever change the political landscape of Malaysia.

  6. Mr Waythamoorthy,

I have to admit first of all that I have been awed by all that you and HINDRAF have achieved and sacrificed.

However, I wish to profer a different kind of thinking for you to consider.

Today I spoke with my factory hands. All Malays and BN/UMNO supporters. They were all stunned and very much unsure of themselves as to what was happening.

They indeed agreed with me that they have been living in a world confined to the trappings laid out by UMNO. I did share with them how, I, an Indian, found no place in that world having failed my MCE, found my niche outside that world. Fair enough sacrifices, small and large, were made, but today having lived outside that world made by UMNO, I live and thrive seemingly being able to live on the outside and yet being able to sneak in inside that UMNO made world for what ever I can pulvarise.

MIC is principally responsible for trapping a lot of Indians inside this same world. Those of us who managed to get out, with sacrifices or otherwise, have managed to live by our own rules and with our pride held up high we have been able to hold our heads up. Unfortunately there are a lot more people who remain in that world. Some not knowing of the world outside and some only looking in envy not knowing why it cannot come to them. Well, I guess they are still waiting for MIC to take them out maybe.

MIC's demise is the best thing that can happen for Indians here in Malaysia. We cannot and must not believe or think that only Indians can represent us. Why indeed should we expect representation just because we are Indians? What is the use? Race is not a factor anymore. Let us get out of it.

  7. Most of Indians in Malaysia are from India. They came here as their wish to have a better life in Malaya at that time, no one forced them to do so. They came to Malaya as Pariah (lowest cast) and they are pariah in India at that time. Still they have made a right choice to came here in Malaya.
Today, after 50 years of indipendence of Malaysia and if we look to India now, the pariah in India does not change much. They still pariah, live in rural area, very poor, no education and everything is incomplete. One of the big reason for this is the capability of their government. Their government cannot serve the people.
Back to Malaysia, as we can see now, not many pariah left, only few, including the HINDRAF CHAIRMAN. Why is that so?? Think about it. From the day a single Indians born until what they are now. Please count how many government money has you guys take.. Quite much i think.
The problems now are, not because our government suppressed the Indians but they themselves. The Indians are lazy, not all but most of them, they like to fight, they like watching hindustan film only, they talk a lot and many more. So now, who to blame?
If you Indians think, that our government now and before are anti-Indians or what so ever, I think you guys should pack your thing and go back to India and settle down there. It easy. Malaysia has nothing to lose if Indians go back to India.
Do not say bad thing to Tun Dr Mahathir, not to UMNO also, because we all had sacrificed a lot to the country.
To the Indians, especially to the HINDRAF Chairman and HINDRAF members, look at yourself and ask yourself, who are you talk like that in Malaysia and to a person who have contributed a lot to Malaysia.

  9. I'm usually a silent reader, but there comes a point when you decide you have just had it.

To Mr/Ms Berbisa, what are you getting at here, I think you should wrap up your crap and get the hell out of here.

Where do you get off on calling an entire race of people 'pariah'? And to sink so low as to suggest an entire Malaysian race to 'Pack your things and go back'. For your information, WE ARE ALL MALAYSIANS! Go back means go back home to Malaysia, not India or China. Malaysia is where we were born, raised, where we grew up, where we live our lives. You have no rights to claim Malaysia as your own or to claim that it belongs to a single race. Every single piece and a bit of the country, WE MALAYSIANS built together. And if YOU don't like it, try packing your things and leave the country, we Malaysians do not need prejudiced bigots like you.

You're also wrong in saying that Indians in India are nothing but Pariahs. The economy of India is the twelfth largest in the world, with a GDP of US $1.25 trillion. It is also the third largest in terms of purchasing power parity. India is the second fastest growing major economy in the world, with a GDP growth rate of 9.4% for the fiscal year 2006–2007. Check up your facts before you flap your trap.

You have no idea what a mess Malaysia was in. I am a medical student studying in Russia, currently at my 5th year here. It is disappointing, that every single time I read the headlines in the newspaper (not the government-controlled NST or the Stars, International News), it's always something bad. When I graduate, all I want is to live in a country where I AM accepted, and not having to face the crap of 'go back to your country' or some keris-wielding s**t.

  10. BerBisa,

Pariah? You mean Indians? I think your par5ents thought you the wrong words Jakun. Being the laziest race in the country not knowing or wanting to work and only depending on the Government hand outs you are calling Indians Pariah. Go ask you nenek moyang from where did your kind creep out. From the jungles of Borneo and settling here because of tribal wars there and later claiming this country as yours does not make you alone the son of soil idiot!

In fact the Indians were already here long before your ancestors crawled up here. Do you know from where did the Malay adat came from? It was we who thought your ancestors to be civilized otherwise you'll see all your women still topless and your grandfathers wearing their sarong in the mid. Learning the corrupted Malay histtory with full of lies you come here to only puke. Stop your dreams of being ketuanan melayu and come down to earth.

Today after the election results UMNO has only 79 seats in parliament while the component parties including Sabah and Sarawak have 55 seats. Do you what will happen if all the 55 werew to defect to Barisan Rakyat either DAP or PKR? Umno will be left begging on the street.

May be then you''l have to go back to the land of your ancestors such as Sumatra. Bodoh punya Melayu...

  11. it is funny to see how the PARIAH react to my comment. Hehe.. do not use your emotional but use your rational la..
First; When we talk about India, its true about the economic growth of India, but have you been there?? I have been there last year, poorer getting more poor and richer getting more rich. There are people(i mean a lot) lived under the bridge, very poor villages (with no clean water, electricity, telephone and etc), basically TERUK GILA... My point here is, how lucky the PARIAH in Malaysia ya.. But they still think they deserve so much from the government..
second; Bullshit with the history facts tu..

  13. Berbisa,
You talk crab!as a non Indian and who have been working with them for a long time, I found Indian to be very hardworking and intelligent too.
As a Malaysian, i am ashame of our Malays. After 50 years of independence, you still have to live on government hand out ! You should feel ashame! Many Malays are not locals, they are merely Muslim immigrants from Indonesia, Phillipine , Pakistan and even India.
How long are you going to live on hand out and special privilege? A strong race DO NOT NEED DISCRIMINATIVE LAWS TO PROTECT THEM.
TDM is one of the most corrupt PM in the world , Mr. 20 %! He is a racist ! International Big Mouth!
I am very sure there are many intellectual MALAYS are ashame of the NEP which discriminate and marginalized the other races.
Come on all the Malays, it is time for you all to work hard and stand on your two feet.Islam is not suppose discriminate the poor, do they ?

  14. HELLO BERBISA, TYPICAL CLAPTRAP FROM A MORONIC RACE OF GROUND FEEDERS. If not for the Indians, chinese and sikh immigrants, where will you Malays be, you were conquered by practically everybody. look at the economy, why did the british bring in the foreign labour, because melayu terlalu malas and bodoh,
un-teachable, instead of menoreh the getah from the tree the chop down the tree thinking they can get more getah, same in the lombongs instead of looking for biji besi, they found them shagging the goats instead, do you know till today there are at least 20-30 cases of buggery going on in this country every year, guess by whom.LOOKS LIKE THINGS LIKE THIS are "culturally the normal thingy, granfathers / fathers raping family members" if you walk in to a police station the policemen have a term- they call this "BERBUAYA ANAK SENDIRI".
Look at your originality, my family came to malaya-british settlements in 1840, when did your ancestors come to malaysia? an example is khir toyol, father still speaks fluent indon but broken malay, but problem is he claims he is BHUMIPUTHRA, 1st generation indon born in malaysia? ('THE TERM "BUAYAN" is commonly used by local malays for these newbie 'BHUMIPUTRAS'), so bhumiputhra he is, with all my taxes to pay for his education. How Does this make him a bhumiputhra?, when my family has been here longer than his. I have the privilage of saying that 2 of my ancestors' names are engraved on the TUGU KEBANGSAAN, can you say the same mr. NEP-KETUANAN-SODO-MEE-ME-ME-ME, berbisa. If not for the other races in malaysia working hard you will still be shagging goats and sitting by the road begging for money, SO PLEASE BE GRATEFULL YOU INGRAT. BLOODY TAK SEDAR DIRI.

HERE is an article about a typical malay, incest, corruption this is what you call melayu tak sedar diri, melayu sesat dan melayu bodoh.(article taken from one of the blogs)
HERE IS SOMETHING INTERESTING,please read this article, it was in the star on friday,15/8.
read the part highlighted and compare this to SINFOOL-SHITFUL'S lies, the logic being if a std 6 child can fight OFF an adult, why couldn't SHITFULL, even if he looks pondannish, 6 footer full of muscle, fight back DSAI. highlight this, and sinful'S claim of sodomee becomes rubbish. below is the article.

    Teachers in molest claims
    By NELSON BENJAMIN

LABIS: Two primary school teachers have been arrested for allegedly molesting and performing indecent acts on their pupils.
The teachers, aged 35 and 27, from two different schools in Labis and Kluang respectively, were arrested after pupils lodged police reports.
Investigations showed that the students were molested in different places, including a school’s counselling room, an art class and even in a park.
In the latest report in Labis last week, a Year 6 pupil who failed to attend her extra classes was asked to see the discipline teacher in the counselling room.
Sources said that instead of reprimanding her, the 35-year-old teacher started showing her pornographic pictures on his laptop and molested her.
The family suspected something amiss when the girl refused to go to school the next day. The family then lodged a police report.
In the other case in Kluang, several Year 6 pupils lodged separate reports after being molested by their 27-year-old teacher, allegedly since March this year.
In one case, the teacher had offered a 12-year-old pupil a ride in his car to attend Friday (so what race is this),prayers but took him to a secluded area instead and molested him and tried to sodomise him.
The boy managed to fight him off and demanded to be sent home.

I REPEAT AGAIN IF A STD 6 CHILD CAN FIGHT OFF AN ADULT, ISN'T IT RIDICULOUS THAT THE CLAIMS OF SHIT-FULL BEING SODOMISED 8 TIMES, BY AN OLD MAN WITH A BAD BACK SOME MORE.
