Deepavali ad (Raya) prequel — just as SICKKK!!
The Finas ad — which showed the superior Muslim daughter-in-law who refused to touch the food (fearing it is not halal) served at the home of her husband’s parents during Deepavali — is actually Part 2 and a continuation of the story.
If you watch Part 1 and the muka sombong she habitually wears with her Indian father-in-law, you’ll understand her behaviour at the dining table (described above) in Part 2 is simply par for the course.
No wonder Muthu was estranged from the family … tak boleh tahan menantu asyik meragam kot.
Anyway, the storyboard goes like this: After three years of not meeting his parents, Muthu drops in with wifey to repair the broken family ties, but mainly to announce that the old folks are going to have a grandchild soon.
The reunion and forgiveness part is borderline palatable insofar as it goes, and the particular plot line for Raya is not too offensive — as least not as grating as the Deepavali version. However, get this! How does Muthu make it up with his ol’ dad? The young man buys him a Baju Melayu, jeez.
Finas’ agenda is so right there in your face on Melayu-ization (Part 1), followed by Islamization (Part 2) where the Hindu family don’t even prepare their own food for Deepavali but a busybody Muslim neighbour cooks everything and brings over. Quite remarkably Kak Ton can do a full-course Indian cuisine (clap-clap).
No wonder the Indians are pissed at such a load of crap.
Background
Finas is Filem Nasional and an arm of the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture. So the ad is government-made.
The Deepavali segment caused an uproar because of its subtext tacitly encouraging Indians to convert to Islam and for the acceptance of this by the minorities.
It was rightly blasted by the Hindu Sangam and other Indian groups. Apparently, a coalition of 30 Hindu NGOs calling itself Hindu Defence Forum (Hindfrom) lodged a police report yesterday, same as how a Muslim NGO had lodged the police report against TV3′s Santa-Raya ad.
The Multimedia Commission (MCMC) fined the private television station RM50,000 for offending the sensitivities of Muslim. Does the hurt Indian community think that Finas should be similarly punished (can’t have double standards, can we)? If so, urge MCMC to take action against Finas. Demand double, 50k for each chapter.
[No, we don't really think grossly bad taste should be the subject of police reports or fines; we're merely playing Devil's Advocate to underline the sickening hypocrisy where everything 'sensitive' is only one-sided.]
And Finas, tolonglah, spare us a further continuation of this sorry saga that you threatened for Christmas and CNY.
how about sucking and fucking non halal dick??? sickening bastards good for dramas......
