Yes to 1Malaysia, but does Umno practice it?

I do not care about the 1Malaysia logo either way. Each time I see the 1Malaysia logo, it does not remind me of Malaysians working towards unity of the nation and of the races.

Instead, 1Malaysia reminds me of Najib's Malaysia, a country wrought with deep corruption, where fear, physical harm and sectarian violence is used by the PDRM, MACC and BN party leaders to terrorise and suppress the rakyat, where lies are twisted to seem like truth to keep the rakyat ignorant of the reality of the excesses of BN leaders, where racial interests over 53 years have poisoned the minds and hearts of the people so much so that even today, new parties like HRP continue to fuel this divide-and-rule BN formula.

1Malaysia reminds me of leaders like Najib, who is a coward refusing to face his accusers in court, and of Muhyiddin Yassin who opposes national unity for racial supremacy with his 'Malay First' stand.

1Malaysia is a big fat lie and even if the logo is not displayed, we see the evidence of this lie daily in the way BN leaders act.

The concept of 1Malaysia is a very good idea to promote oneness in Malaysia. But the question is: does BN practise what it preaches?

Najib speaks in forked tongue. To the non-Malays he will preach 1Malaysia and to the Malays he will preach 'ketuanan Melayu' or Malay supremacy. Even his deputy PM said "I am 1st Malay and 2nd Malaysian".

When Nelson Mandela became PM of South Africa, he was quoted as saying, "We will build South Africa using red bricks, black bricks, white bricks and any coloured bricks." Today South Africa is called a rainbow nation because of the diversity of its many races and tribes.

Malaysia was like that until it was destroyed by Malay supremacy, bumiputeraism and Islamisation ala BN. Unless and until BN practises what it preaches, I say "No to the 1Malaysia slogan"

when BN created the 1Malaysia concept and spread it nationwide, 1Malaysia becomes political in nature. I believe that 1Malaysia is a political message from the Umno/BN public relation-propaganda room. Any sound-minded person can tell you that.

Or does anyone mean to tell me that Umno/BN is really concerned about national unity? Is that really Najib's passion? How can that be when he allows Utusan Malaysia, Perkasa and BTN (Biro Tatanegara) to roam around freely?

1Malaysia is no different than 'Bersih, Cekap dan Amanah' or other half-baked slogans that have emanated in the last 30 years of Umno rule. What the heck - if the slogan could help to bag in a couple of more votes, then it was well worth the price.

The essence of the matter is, does anyone really feel like this is 1Malaysia? Well, I for one, will believe that when Perkasa and Utusan are both history.

This putting up of 1Malaysia posters is typical of Umno-led government mentality. All over the country, even in Perak - we have huge posters on even bigger billboards lauding what Umno has done.

A typical one says, 'Another project by the BN government'. This is political advertisement using my money and your money.
