Indian elite are bunch of self-centred hypocrites

I refer to the letter by Rahman, ‘Instead of being grateful, Umno is demeaning the poor Indian. The Indians should shed their crab mentality. The elite Indians and the well to do ones, must also care for society apart from their family and friends.

I know a number of Indian professionals, who don’t give a damn for their poor cousins. These people are so self centred, all they think of is only about making money and being garlanded in the temples because of their big donations. All these Indians are hypocrites of the highest order.

I have personally, tried to talk to several of them, but they would try to put the blame on the Indian poor or will try to change the subject. What these so called polished Indians fail to understand is, one fine day, when they are dead and gone, their children/grand children/great grand children, etc., are the ones going to suffer.

What is the point of having an age old culture and civilisation when they don’t care to help the poor and the needy? We came to this earth with nothing, and we will leave this earth with nothing too. Our good deeds, especially to the poor and the needy, is what God would like to see in us in the hereafter.
