The younger generation of Sabahan natives must act now or be condemmed forever as a non entity and a powerless people in their own homeland.

The general election must be just around the corner given the flurry of activities in Sabah. The topic of choice these days is the formation of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on electoral reform.

The Parliamentary Select Committe led by Maximus Ongkili has been entrusted to look into this matter as if is is a new development and a mystery. In fact it has been an open secret for the last 30 years under the watch of the former PM, Mahathir Mohamad.

Based on the reports from numerous sources, including court papers and Wikileak, the existence of Project IC or Project M, is a fact.

Now the question is: Will Putrajaya (Umno-BN) do what is the right and grant the wishes of Sabahans? The likelihood of this happeningof course is akin to going to haven and meeting god!

This treasonous act as potrayed by these extensive reports, publications and court papers even naming names. In a true democracy and if the government were acting on behalf of its employee, the Rakyat, the convening of an RCI would be a no brainer.

Based on several reports on the Sabah Daily Express recently, most Sabah BN component parties were all for the formation of an RCI except for Sabah Umno. Now this is very telling. Don’t you think? Nontheless, apparently, an RCI on this issue will indeed be formed.

Do I belive that it will do what it is supposed to do? Not in a million years! This nothing more than another “Wayang Kulit” to pacify Sabahans.

What are Sabahans, especially the natives, to do then ? You don’t win any prizes for guessing the outcome of this “sandiwara”. It will be a slap in the face to Sabahans.

The RCI will say: “No such thing” .

I truly cannot understand why native Sabahans are not more angry at the arrogrance and injustices that is directed to them by Umno.

Every avenue to resist and push back Umno’s “Ketuhanan” Melayu agenda must be explored.
