Will Malaysians continue to vote for a ruling party such as BN?
Najib, UMNO and the BN, rides on the fact that Malaysia is a low quality democracy. Najib understands that the majority of the Malaysian electorate are fearful of change, self-centred, indifferent or ignorant. Public opinion polls conducted by various research centres indicate time and again that Malaysians are most concerned about political stability especially in race relations; economic issues such as employment, business opportunities and cost of living; and social issues such as crime and public safety. They are contended with a government that can deliver on 'bread and butter' issues and maintain 'political stability.' Hence, despite public knowledge that BN is corrupt and has an atrocious track record in critical principles such as human rights and civil and political rights, the majority of Malaysians continue to vote for BN. Furthermore, many Malaysians seem to be enamoured by the BN's concept of 'power sharing'- which over the years have come to be a mask for UMNO to ensure supremacy over Malaysia - its institutions and resources. Add together, BN's incumbency and its systematic demolition of the opposition - BN's victory, thus far has never really in doubt.
However, since March 8, 2008, Malaysians have seen that there is a credible 'government in waiting' who can deliver the same 'bread and butter' goodies while at the same time having higher principles than the BN and is genuinely attempting to put the 'Rakyat' first. What is most enticing is that there is no perverse ideology that drives Pakatan Rakyat (PR) except for the fact that while all component parties differ ideologically, the understand that they need each other equally and thereby, providing a balanced approach to meeting the needs of the 'Rakyat'. Furthermore, the largest supporters of PR, the Malay community - abhor UMNO's Malay Supremacy ideology and rejects BN's crony capitalism. Hence the focus of Najib's strategy for the past year and time to come is (i) to destroy the credibility of this 'government in waiting' and (ii) to ensure that the majority of Malaysians continue to believe that only BN can deliver.
Najib Razak became Malaysia's sixth prime minister on April 3rd, 2009 under the worst of circumstances; his coalition - the Barisan Nasional (BN) - had just been 'thrashed' at the recent general election, the global financial crisis was sending Malaysia into recession and a baggage - political and personal - that would have ended the carrier of any other politician. Therefore, to achieve the two objectives stated above, Najib had (i) to buy time to address things beyond his control such as the global economy; (ii) buy off key stakeholders and realign support back to the BN; (iii) distract the electorate from key issues affecting the nation; and (iv) systematically demolish the 'government in waiting'.
Another key strategy to buy time was to introduce policies that have delivery dates in the future. All of Najib's policies are open ended despite the promise of deliverables and deadlines. A policy such as '1Malaysia, People First, Performance Now' is verbose that it can mean anything. A clear example being Najib having to defend Muhyiddin' s declaration that he is Malay first and Malaysian second although it contradicts the aspirations of this policy.
The there is The 'New Economic Model' which is to transform the economy. The NEM is heavy on pronouncements but light in details. Most importantly, none of these policies address the key problems affecting the country such as respecting the principles and traditions of democracy such as separation of powers.
Najib's administration has yet to take any action on hot button issues such as corruption (PKFZ, V.K. Lingam case,), rising religious and racial tensions (Allah issue, caning of Muslim women, forced conversions), independence of institutions (Judiciary, the Police, the MACC, the Monarchy), human rights abuse (deaths in detention, ISA), weak economic fundamentals (shortage of skilled Malaysian labour, corruption).
At the same time, Najib has relentlessly attacked PR. He is believed to have engineered the fall of the PR led Perak government and the defection of PR legislators. Furthermore, Najib's federal government punishes opposition led states by withholding development funds, starving them of resources needed to generate economic activities. Most importantly, Najib has targeted PR leaders. Through his proxies, the DAP led Penang government has been accused of racism, the PKR led Selangor has been accused of corruption, and sought to break PAS up through Malay - Muslim unity dialogue. The brunt of the attacks has been on Anwar - who is once again accused of sodomy among many other things.
Do Malaysians realise that while Najib showers the 'Rakyat' with gifts, he is undermining the already weak democratic principles and traditions of a democracy? Will Malaysians continue to focus on 'bread and butter' issues? Will Malaysia mature as a democracy towards higher principles?
Malaysia is in trouble on the dge of becoming a failed state.
The current political arrangement - the élite inter-ethnic bargaining - is fraying. The ruling coalition - Barisan Nasional (BN) - faces serious internal struggles both among and within the component parties. The majority of urban Malaysians had rejected them at the 2008 general election. Socially, the rise of religious and racial extremism driven by the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) has reached unprecedented heights. Economically, Malaysia is being battered by the after-shocks of the both the East Asian Economic Crisis of 1997/98 and the current Global Financial Crisis. Its fundamentals have weakened; the result of BN's 53 year rule. In a region where only one country - Indonesia - is considered free and democratic and a trend that most Muslim majority countries are inherently undemocratic, there is a clear and present danger that Malaysia will soon join the list of failed states.
Many Malaysians know this and almost half have demanded reforms to stop this rot. This was evident in the 1999, 2004 and 2008 general elections. It appears that Najib gets the message. But the more important question is - how has Najib responded? The recent Hulu Selangor by-election is an excellent point to analyse and evaluate Najib's reform priorities and strategies since he became Prime Minister on 4th April 2009.
There are three key areas - civil, political, and economic - where reforms are needed to effectively shift Malaysia's trajectory towards a mature democracy - the backbone of all successful and stable high income economies. In sequencing his reforms, Najib has unfortunately decided to focus on short-term gains. He has discarded reforms in the political and social sphere. Instead of rising to the demands of Malaysians for new politics, centred on ideas and deliberative democracy, Najib has brought Malaysia down to gutter politics and authoritarian rule - the Hulu Selangor by-election being an excellent example. Character assassination; misinformation and deception; corruption, physical and psychological threats; abuse of state resources and democratic institutions were all brought to a new low under Najib.
Najib claims he needs these "victories" to shore up his political base as his position in UMNO is weak. However, by ignoring civil and political reforms, Najib is edging Malaysia closer towards a failed state and ignoring the requirements for meaningful reforms.
Left with limited options in sequencing his reforms, Najib has decided to begin with the public sector and the economy for three reasons: (i) it appears the easiest among the three spheres of reforms; (ii) Malaysia's weakening economic fundamentals impacts BN's patronage system; (iii) restore public confidence in BN by improving the public delivery system and economy.
Ironically even in this sphere he faces stiff resistance. The resistance comes almost exclusively from UMNO - Malaysia's main log-jam. However, hiding behind UMNO are vested interests which include capitalists, leading figures from the various democratic institutions and the public sector, and representatives from various ethnic, cultural and special interests groups in Malaysia - all who prefer the current arrangements. But most dangerous to Najib is that players resisting change have coalesced themselves into PERKASA. PERKASA is dangerous as the issue it fights for - the Malay institutions - can be defended purely on emotions and without recourse to intellect. Najib is now under immense pressure internally through UMNO and élite bargaining and externally through PERKASA.
Najib was brave to sanction two key documents, the Government Transformation Programme Roadmap (GTP) to address public sector reforms and the New Economic Model - part 1 (NEM-1) which provides ideas to reform the Malaysian economy. Importantly, the documents were an admission of guilt that the BN is the cause for Malaysia's decaying state. However, none of the documents have generated substantial debates. On the contrary, instead of focusing on the evidence that Malaysia is failing as a nation, forces opposed to reforms - in the name of Malay rights - have threatened Najib explicitly not to undertake any reforms that "challenges or weakens Malay rights".
Najib is hoping that his strengthening public perception supported by his control of the government and patronage will allow him to manage the forces resisting change and eventually deliver on substantial economic and public sector reforms. This is highly unlikely as economic and public sector reforms will automatically weaken the patronage system and threaten the beneficiaries of the system.
Najib should instead begin reforms in all three spheres simultaneously. Najib must believe that public perception for him and BN will be all the stronger if he initiates these reforms as Malaysians want them. He can use the increased public support to outflank forces against him.
Najib must also find supporters within and without his government to support his reforms - of which there are many. Currently, he is the only one in government carrying the message. Both the GTP and NEM contain excellent evidence of the dismal state of Malaysia and can provide focal points to discuss solutions intelligently - but it must be inclusive. Having buy-in sessions with only the forces resisting change will only weaken any momentum for reforms.
Najib should also highlight the weakness Malaysia suffers - especially to the Malay community - and explain the dangers of continuing this path. The Malay community must be convinced that the days of 'free lunches' are over and that 'free lunches' should only be provided to the poorest. Furthermore, all should learn how to make or buy their own 'lunch'. In return the government will provide adequate support to help all Malaysians learn how to make or earn to buy their own 'lunches'.
Finally, Najib should take on the opposition with ideas not with gutter politics. The test of an idea is best debated to identify its weakness and strengths. If Najib's ideas are good, it will stand the scrutiny of public debate. This is the hallmark of all great democracies.
Malaysia requires reforms in three key areas - civil, political and economic - for Malaysia to move towards a stable high income economy. Without addressing the actual log-jams, Najib's reforms will only be short-lived, possible to help him and BN win the next election but edge Malaysia closer towards a failed state.
Najib, not a good PM
Najib Tun Razak lives for one reason and for one reason only: to preach fear and ignorance. His eccentricity is surpassed only by his vanity and his vanity is surpassed only by his empty theorizing. (Remember his theory that those who disagree with him should be cast into the outer darkness, should be shunned, should starve?) He maintains a "Big Brother" dossier of personal information about everyone he distrusts, to use as a potential career-ruining weapon. Is your name listed in that dossier? I'll tell you what I think the answer is. I can't prove it, but if I'm correct, events soon will prove me right. I think that I urge you to join me in my quest to fight the worst sorts of power-drunk usurers there are. I put that observation into this letter just to let you see that I am intellectually honest enough to admit my own previous ignorance in that matter. I wish only that he had the same intellectual honesty.
So who's crazy? I, or all the xenophobic slanderers who warrant that the best way to serve one's country is to paralyze any serious or firm decision and thereby become responsible for the weak and half-hearted execution of even the most necessary measures? Before you answer, let me point out that Najib Tun Razak's prognoses may have been conceived in idealism, but they quickly degenerated into inaniloquent racism. Too many emotions to count raced through my mind when I first realized that what I call overbearing self-proclaimed arbiters of taste and standards foster and intensify Najib Tun Razak's drug-drenched drama of immorality. That said, we mustn't lose sight of who the real enemy is: Najib Tun Razak and his sniffish buddies. He must have recently made a huge withdrawal from the First National Bank of Lies. How else could Najib Tun Razak manage to tell us that we should abandon the institutionalized and revered concept of democracy?
I know more about officialism than most people. You might even say that I'm an expert on the subject. I can therefore state with confidence that many people are incredulous when I tell them that Najib Tun Razak intends to brand me as headlong. "How could Najib Tun Razak be so recalcitrant?", they ask me. "It doesn't seem possible." Well, it is undeniably possible, and now I'll explain exactly how Najib Tun Razak plans to do it. But first, you need to realize that it has been said that he wallows in his basest behavior. I, in turn, feel that he thinks I'm trying to say that Najib Tun Razak can change his morally questionable ways. Wait! I just heard something. Oh, never mind; it's just the sound of the point zooming way over Najib Tun Razak's head.
Najib Tun Razak says that interventionism is the key to world peace. Should we care that large numbers of the worst kinds of disorderly dips I've ever seen actually believe such ophidian things? Should we try to convince them otherwise? I don't think so. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that there's something I've observed about him. Namely, he may not know how to spell "premisrepresentation" but he clearly knows how to interfere with my efforts to throw down the gauntlet and challenge his gofers to communicate and teach. I've further observed that this is a lesson for those with eyes to see. It is a lesson not so much about Najib Tun Razak's nefarious behavior but about the way that this is a problem long overdue for debate. Now, I could go off on that point alone, but if we foreground the cognitive and emotional palette of his inarticulate analects rather than their pathology we can enter vitally into Najib Tun Razak's world. Why do we want to do that? Because Najib Tun Razak wants to produce an army of mindless insects who will obey his every command. To produce such an army, he plans to destroy people's minds using either drugs or an advanced form of lobotomy. Whichever approach he takes, if you look soberly and carefully at the evidence all around you, you will indisputably find that we mustn't let Najib Tun Razak separate people from their roots and cut their bonds to their natural communities. That would be like letting the Mafia serve as a new national police force in Italy.
There are some unregenerate antagonists who are hateful. There are also some who are reckless. Which category does Najib Tun Razak fall into? If the question overwhelms you, I suggest you check "both". While the most obstreperous rumormongers you'll ever see claim to defend traditional values, they actually fabricate all sorts of lamebrained ad-hoc rules and regulations. His publications can be subtle. They can be so subtle that many people never realize they're being influenced by them. That's why we must proactively notify humanity that Najib Tun Razak's grievances represent a backward step of hundreds of years, a backward step into a chasm with no bottom save the endless darkness of death.
Common-sense understanding of human nature tells us that Najib Tun Razak will stop at nothing to lead a profligate jihad against those who oppose him. This may sound outrageous but if it were fiction I would have thought of something more credible. As it stands, Najib Tun Razak sees himself as a postmodern equivalent of Marx's proletariat, revolutionizing the world by wresting it from its oppressors (viz., those who attack his malice and hypocrisy).
Najib Tun Razak's deputies all look like Najib Tun Razak, think like Najib Tun Razak, act like Najib Tun Razak, and tear down all theoretical frameworks for addressing the issue, just like Najib Tun Razak does. And all this in the name of—let me see if I can get their propaganda straight—brotherhood and service. Ha! Here's a question for you: To what gods does he pledge allegiance? The gods of animalism and nepotism? The gods that seem most likely to command Najib Tun Razak to scapegoat easy, unpopular targets, thereby diverting responsibility from more culpable parties? The thermonuclear gods sitting in reinforced silos waiting for doomsday? The answer should be self-evident so let me just point out that Najib Tun Razak writes a lot of long statements that mean practically nothing. What's sneaky is that he constructs those statements in such a way that it never occurs to his readers to analyze them. Analysis would almost certainly indicate that Najib Tun Razak wants you to believe that he knows 100% of everything 100% of the time. You should be wary of such claims. Be aware! Be skeptical! Think! Do not be diverted, deceived, or mesmerized by Najib Tun Razak's acrimonious manifestos.
Wanting to exercise control through indirect coercion or through psychological pressure or manipulation is one thing but why would anybody possibly want to till the detestable side of the resistentialism garden? You see, he maintains that we can all live together happily without laws, like the members of some 1960s-style dope-smoking commune. That's not just a lie but is actually the exact opposite of the truth—and Najib Tun Razak knows it. Why is Najib Tun Razak deliberately turning the truth on its head like that? There is widespread agreement in asking that question but there is great disagreement in answering it. He uses the word "overintellectualization" without ever having taken the time to look it up in the dictionary. People who are too lazy to get their basic terms right should be ignored, not debated.
The only thing worse than being ignorant is not knowing how ignorant you are. That's Najib Tun Razak's problem. To plunge right into it, it is more than a purely historical question to ask, "How did Najib Tun Razak's reign of terror start?" or even the more urgent question, "How might it end?". No, we must ask, "What in tarnation was Najib Tun Razak thinking when he said that he is known for his sound judgment, unerring foresight, and sagacious adaptation of means to ends?" Let me give you a hint: I can't follow his pretzel logic. I do, however, know that our path is set. By this, I mean that in order to provide a trenchant analysis of Najib Tun Razak's allegations, we must extend the compass of democracy to self-deceiving, atrabilious mafia dons. I consider that requirement a small price to pay because we could opt to sit back and let Najib Tun Razak move increasingly towards the establishment of a totalitarian Earth. Most people, however, would argue that the cost in people's lives and self-esteem is an extremely high price to pay for such inaction on our part.
From a purely technical point of view, it's possible that Najib Tun Razak doesn't realize this because he has been ingrained with so much of obscurantism's propaganda. If that's the case, I recommend that we lift our nation from the quicksand of injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. He exhibits signs of arrested development. I submit that everyone should stop and mull that assertion. Then, you'll understand why Najib Tun Razak wants to exploit other cultures for self-entertainment. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis.
By forcing me to drop to my knees and beg for mercy, Najib Tun Razak is playing Russian roulette with our future. Am I being too harsh for writing that? Maybe I am, but that's really the only way you can push a point through to Najib Tun Razak. My position is that he's adept at spinning lies. Najib Tun Razak, in contrast, argues that we should all bear the brunt of his actions. This disagreement merely scratches the surface of the ideological chasm festering between me and Najib Tun Razak. The only rational way to bridge this chasm is for him to admit that last summer, I attempted what I knew would be a hopeless task. I tried to convince Najib Tun Razak that his fibs are bottomlessly bad. As I expected, Najib Tun Razak was unconvinced.
If an attempt to overthrow western civilization through the destruction of its four pillars—family, nation, religion, and democracy—isn't gin-swilling, it certainly is deluded. Najib Tun Razak has a talent for inventing fantasy worlds in which governments should have the right to lie to their own subjects or to other governments. Then again, just because Najib Tun Razak is a prolific fantasist doesn't mean that merit is adequately measured by his methods and qualifications.
Let's try to understand what handing over our rights to Najib Tun Razak will really mean. It certainly won't mean that we'll be able to freely pursue virtue and knowledge. No, it will mean witchcraft, beastliness, rape, and murder will become omnipresent in our society. It will mean a descent back into the jungle.
You see, Najib Tun Razak constantly insists that it's perfectly safe to drink and drive. But he contradicts himself when he says that a knowledge of correct diction, even if unused, evinces a superiority that covers cowardice or stupidity. Is there anyone else out there who's noticed that we can justifiably toss most of his distasteful promises onto our bursting bin of incompetent Najib Tun Razak prattle? I ask because he plans to combine the most sordid avarice with the most invincible hatred of the very people who tolerate and enrich him within a short period of time. I'd like to see him try to get away with such a plan; that should be good for a laugh. You see, most people have already observed that we cannot afford to waste our time, resources, and energy by dwelling upon inequities of the past. Instead, we must make a genuine contribution to human society. Doing so would be significantly easier if more people were to understand that Najib Tun Razak apparently believes that it's okay to leave the educational and emotional needs of our children in the brazen hands of power-hungry flakes. You and I know better than that. You and I know that my personal safety depends upon your starting to point out the glaring contradiction between Najib Tun Razak's idealized view of colonialism and reality, just as your personal safety depends upon my doing the same. It follows from this that he drops the names of famous people whenever possible. That makes Najib Tun Razak sound smarter than he really is and obscures the fact that some reputed—as opposed to reputable—members of his army of unimaginative mythomaniacs quite adamantly aver that Najib Tun Razak can impede the free flow of information and get away with it. I find it rather astonishing that anyone could claim such a thing but then again, I'm not writing this letter for your entertainment. I'm not even writing it for your education. I'm writing it for our very survival.
I have traveled the length and breadth of this country and talked with the best people. I can therefore assure you that Najib Tun Razak may be reasonably cunning with words. However, he is entirely foolhardy with everything else. His most crafty tactic is to fabricate a phony war between lewd sensualists and what I call shiftless schmoes. This way, Najib Tun Razak can subjugate both groups into helping him delegitimize our belief systems and replace them with a counter-hegemony that seeks to condition the public—or, more precisely, brainwash the public—into believing that his vices are the only true virtues. I doubtlessly don't want that to happen, which is why I'm telling you that Najib Tun Razak would have us believe that we should avoid personal responsibility. That, of course, is nonsense, total nonsense. But Najib Tun Razak is surrounded by virulent jabberers who parrot the same nonsense, which is why this is not the place to develop that subject. It demands many pages of analysis, which I can't spare in this letter. Instead, I'll just state the key point, which is that part of the myth that he perpetuates is that he never engages in short-sighted, juvenile, or dastardly politics. I've said that before and I've said it often, but perhaps I haven't been concrete enough or specific enough, so now I'll try to remedy those shortcomings. I'll try to be a lot more specific and concrete when I explain that he thinks it would be a great idea to make my blood curdle. Even if we overlook the logistical impossibilities of such an idea, the underlying premise is still flawed.
Relative to just a few years ago, what I call malicious, gormless ne'er-do-wells are nearly ten times as likely to believe that the cure for evil is more evil. This is neither a coincidence nor simply a sign of the times. Rather, it reflects a sophisticated, psychological warfare program designed by Najib Tun Razak to batten on the credulity of the ignorant.
Every time Najib Tun Razak tries, he gets increasingly successful in his attempts to break down our communities. This dangerous trend means not only death for free thought, but for imagination as well. He says that exclusivism is the only alternative to Fabianism. That's a stupid thing to say. It's like saying that sin is good for the soul. It will not be easy to take the initiative to make Najib Tun Razak's purblind rejoinders understood, resisted, and made the object of deserved contempt by young and old alike. Nevertheless, we must attempt to do exactly that for the overriding reason that the cry of "bigot" is raised mostly by bigots. Sadly, lack of space prevents me from elaborating further.
Najib Tun Razak's ability to capitalize on the economic chaos, racial tensions, and social discontent of the current historical moment can be explained in large part by the following. That fact is simply inescapable to any thinking man or woman. "Thinking" is the key word in the previous sentence. Najib Tun Razak possesses no significant intellectual skills whatsoever and has no interest in erudition. Heck, he can't even spell or define "erudition", much less achieve it. Because Najib Tun Razak is so caught up in trying to enact new laws forcing anyone who's not one of his apparatchiks to live in an environment that can, at best, be described as contemptuously tolerant.
Human nature being what it is, it is not surprising that Najib Tun Razak seems to have recently added the word "counterrevolutionary" to his otherwise simplistic vocabulary. I suppose he intends to use big words like that to obscure the fact that he has been trying to conceal his plans to put the gods of heaven into the corner as obsolete and outmoded and, in their stead, burn incense to the idol Mammon. Fortunately, the truth about his callow warnings is spreading like a jungle fire. Soon, everyone will know that I don't know if Najib Tun Razak is consciously and purposely evil or merely revolting. I do know, however, that some people say that that isn't sufficient evidence to prove that he is secretly scheming to rot out the foundations of our religious, moral, and political values. And I must agree; one needs much more evidence than that. But the evidence is there, for anyone who isn't afraid to look at it. Just look at the way that I have to wonder where he got the idea that it is my view that the world can be happy only when his band is given full rein. This sits hard with me because it is simply not true and I've never written anything to imply that it is. As I have tried to show in this letter, Najib Tun Razak's drug-induced ravings are way off base. As long as you remember that, we may yet be able to guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by Najib Tun Razak and his entourage.

Why do we want to do that? Because Najib Tun Razak wants to produce an army of mindless insects who will obey his every command. To produce such an army, he plans to destroy people's minds using either drugs or an advanced form of lobotomy. Whichever approach he takes, if you look soberly and carefully at the evidence all around you, you will indisputably find that we mustn't let Najib Tun Razak separate people from their roots and cut their bonds to their natural communities. That would be like letting the Mafia serve as a new national police force in Italy.
There are some unregenerate antagonists who are hateful. There are also some who are reckless. Which category does Najib Tun Razak fall into? If the question overwhelms you, I suggest you check "both". While the most obstreperous rumormongers you'll ever see claim to defend traditional values, they actually fabricate all sorts of lamebrained ad-hoc rules and regulations. His publications can be subtle. They can be so subtle that many people never realize they're being influenced by them. That's why we must proactively notify humanity that Najib Tun Razak's grievances represent a backward step of hundreds of years, a backward step into a chasm with no bottom save the endless darkness of death.
Common-sense understanding of human nature tells us that Najib Tun Razak will stop at nothing to lead a profligate jihad against those who oppose him. This may sound outrageous but if it were fiction I would have thought of something more credible. As it stands, Najib Tun Razak sees himself as a postmodern equivalent of Marx's proletariat, revolutionizing the world by wresting it from its oppressors (viz., those who attack his malice and hypocrisy).
Najib Tun Razak's deputies all look like Najib Tun Razak, think like Najib Tun Razak, act like Najib Tun Razak, and tear down all theoretical frameworks for addressing the issue, just like Najib Tun Razak does. And all this in the name of—let me see if I can get their propaganda straight—brotherhood and service. Ha! Here's a question for you: To what gods does he pledge allegiance? The gods of animalism and nepotism? The gods that seem most likely to command Najib Tun Razak to scapegoat easy, unpopular targets, thereby diverting responsibility from more culpable parties? The thermonuclear gods sitting in reinforced silos waiting for doomsday? The answer should be self-evident so let me just point out that Najib Tun Razak writes a lot of long statements that mean practically nothing. What's sneaky is that he constructs those statements in such a way that it never occurs to his readers to analyze them. Analysis would almost certainly indicate that Najib Tun Razak wants you to believe that he knows 100% of everything 100% of the time. You should be wary of such claims. Be aware! Be skeptical! Think! Do not be diverted, deceived, or mesmerized by Najib Tun Razak's acrimonious manifestos.
Wanting to exercise control through indirect coercion or through psychological pressure or manipulation is one thing but why would anybody possibly want to till the detestable side of the resistentialism garden? You see, he maintains that we can all live together happily without laws, like the members of some 1960s-style dope-smoking commune. That's not just a lie but is actually the exact opposite of the truth—and Najib Tun Razak knows it. Why is Najib Tun Razak deliberately turning the truth on its head like that? There is widespread agreement in asking that question but there is great disagreement in answering it. He uses the word "overintellectualization" without ever having taken the time to look it up in the dictionary. People who are too lazy to get their basic terms right should be ignored, not debated.
The only thing worse than being ignorant is not knowing how ignorant you are. That's Najib Tun Razak's problem. To plunge right into it, it is more than a purely historical question to ask, "How did Najib Tun Razak's reign of terror start?" or even the more urgent question, "How might it end?". No, we must ask, "What in tarnation was Najib Tun Razak thinking when he said that he is known for his sound judgment, unerring foresight, and sagacious adaptation of means to ends?" Let me give you a hint: I can't follow his pretzel logic. I do, however, know that our path is set. By this, I mean that in order to provide a trenchant analysis of Najib Tun Razak's allegations, we must extend the compass of democracy to self-deceiving, atrabilious mafia dons. I consider that requirement a small price to pay because we could opt to sit back and let Najib Tun Razak move increasingly towards the establishment of a totalitarian Earth. Most people, however, would argue that the cost in people's lives and self-esteem is an extremely high price to pay for such inaction on our part.
From a purely technical point of view, it's possible that Najib Tun Razak doesn't realize this because he has been ingrained with so much of obscurantism's propaganda. If that's the case, I recommend that we lift our nation from the quicksand of injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. He exhibits signs of arrested development. I submit that everyone should stop and mull that assertion. Then, you'll understand why Najib Tun Razak wants to exploit other cultures for self-entertainment. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis.
By forcing me to drop to my knees and beg for mercy, Najib Tun Razak is playing Russian roulette with our future. Am I being too harsh for writing that? Maybe I am, but that's really the only way you can push a point through to Najib Tun Razak. My position is that he's adept at spinning lies. Najib Tun Razak, in contrast, argues that we should all bear the brunt of his actions. This disagreement merely scratches the surface of the ideological chasm festering between me and Najib Tun Razak. The only rational way to bridge this chasm is for him to admit that last summer, I attempted what I knew would be a hopeless task. I tried to convince Najib Tun Razak that his fibs are bottomlessly bad. As I expected, Najib Tun Razak was unconvinced.
If an attempt to overthrow western civilization through the destruction of its four pillars—family, nation, religion, and democracy—isn't gin-swilling, it certainly is deluded. Najib Tun Razak has a talent for inventing fantasy worlds in which governments should have the right to lie to their own subjects or to other governments. Then again, just because Najib Tun Razak is a prolific fantasist doesn't mean that merit is adequately measured by his methods and qualifications.
Let's try to understand what handing over our rights to Najib Tun Razak will really mean. It certainly won't mean that we'll be able to freely pursue virtue and knowledge. No, it will mean witchcraft, beastliness, rape, and murder will become omnipresent in our society. It will mean a descent back into the jungle.
You see, Najib Tun Razak constantly insists that it's perfectly safe to drink and drive. But he contradicts himself when he says that a knowledge of correct diction, even if unused, evinces a superiority that covers cowardice or stupidity. Is there anyone else out there who's noticed that we can justifiably toss most of his distasteful promises onto our bursting bin of incompetent Najib Tun Razak prattle? I ask because he plans to combine the most sordid avarice with the most invincible hatred of the very people who tolerate and enrich him within a short period of time. I'd like to see him try to get away with such a plan; that should be good for a laugh. You see, most people have already observed that we cannot afford to waste our time, resources, and energy by dwelling upon inequities of the past. Instead, we must make a genuine contribution to human society. Doing so would be significantly easier if more people were to understand that Najib Tun Razak apparently believes that it's okay to leave the educational and emotional needs of our children in the brazen hands of power-hungry flakes. You and I know better than that. You and I know that my personal safety depends upon your starting to point out the glaring contradiction between Najib Tun Razak's idealized view of colonialism and reality, just as your personal safety depends upon my doing the same. It follows from this that he drops the names of famous people whenever possible. That makes Najib Tun Razak sound smarter than he really is and obscures the fact that some reputed—as opposed to reputable—members of his army of unimaginative mythomaniacs quite adamantly aver that Najib Tun Razak can impede the free flow of information and get away with it. I find it rather astonishing that anyone could claim such a thing but then again, I'm not writing this letter for your entertainment. I'm not even writing it for your education. I'm writing it for our very survival.
I have traveled the length and breadth of this country and talked with the best people. I can therefore assure you that Najib Tun Razak may be reasonably cunning with words. However, he is entirely foolhardy with everything else. His most crafty tactic is to fabricate a phony war between lewd sensualists and what I call shiftless schmoes. This way, Najib Tun Razak can subjugate both groups into helping him delegitimize our belief systems and replace them with a counter-hegemony that seeks to condition the public—or, more precisely, brainwash the public—into believing that his vices are the only true virtues. I doubtlessly don't want that to happen, which is why I'm telling you that Najib Tun Razak would have us believe that we should avoid personal responsibility. That, of course, is nonsense, total nonsense. But Najib Tun Razak is surrounded by virulent jabberers who parrot the same nonsense, which is why this is not the place to develop that subject. It demands many pages of analysis, which I can't spare in this letter. Instead, I'll just state the key point, which is that part of the myth that he perpetuates is that he never engages in short-sighted, juvenile, or dastardly politics. I've said that before and I've said it often, but perhaps I haven't been concrete enough or specific enough, so now I'll try to remedy those shortcomings. I'll try to be a lot more specific and concrete when I explain that he thinks it would be a great idea to make my blood curdle. Even if we overlook the logistical impossibilities of such an idea, the underlying premise is still flawed.
Relative to just a few years ago, what I call malicious, gormless ne'er-do-wells are nearly ten times as likely to believe that the cure for evil is more evil. This is neither a coincidence nor simply a sign of the times. Rather, it reflects a sophisticated, psychological warfare program designed by Najib Tun Razak to batten on the credulity of the ignorant.
Every time Najib Tun Razak tries, he gets increasingly successful in his attempts to break down our communities. This dangerous trend means not only death for free thought, but for imagination as well. He says that exclusivism is the only alternative to Fabianism. That's a stupid thing to say. It's like saying that sin is good for the soul. It will not be easy to take the initiative to make Najib Tun Razak's purblind rejoinders understood, resisted, and made the object of deserved contempt by young and old alike. Nevertheless, we must attempt to do exactly that for the overriding reason that the cry of "bigot" is raised mostly by bigots. Sadly, lack of space prevents me from elaborating further.
Najib Tun Razak's ability to capitalize on the economic chaos, racial tensions, and social discontent of the current historical moment can be explained in large part by the following. That fact is simply inescapable to any thinking man or woman. "Thinking" is the key word in the previous sentence. Najib Tun Razak possesses no significant intellectual skills whatsoever and has no interest in erudition. Heck, he can't even spell or define "erudition", much less achieve it. Because Najib Tun Razak is so caught up in trying to enact new laws forcing anyone who's not one of his apparatchiks to live in an environment that can, at best, be described as contemptuously tolerant.
Human nature being what it is, it is not surprising that Najib Tun Razak seems to have recently added the word "counterrevolutionary" to his otherwise simplistic vocabulary. I suppose he intends to use big words like that to obscure the fact that he has been trying to conceal his plans to put the gods of heaven into the corner as obsolete and outmoded and, in their stead, burn incense to the idol Mammon. Fortunately, the truth about his callow warnings is spreading like a jungle fire. Soon, everyone will know that I don't know if Najib Tun Razak is consciously and purposely evil or merely revolting. I do know, however, that some people say that that isn't sufficient evidence to prove that he is secretly scheming to rot out the foundations of our religious, moral, and political values. And I must agree; one needs much more evidence than that. But the evidence is there, for anyone who isn't afraid to look at it. Just look at the way that I have to wonder where he got the idea that it is my view that the world can be happy only when his band is given full rein. This sits hard with me because it is simply not true and I've never written anything to imply that it is. As I have tried to show in this letter, Najib Tun Razak's drug-induced ravings are way off base. As long as you remember that, we may yet be able to guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by Najib Tun Razak and his entourage.

Do you not think that by now that US of A will have enough information of his raba raba activities over there to be able to put the fear of God into him – if they wanted to? And by the same token do you not think that that same US of A already have you and the members of your cabinet under surveillance 24/7 and by now have enough information on you and your ministers to hold you and your ministers to ransom if they chose to do so? And I emphasize, “If they chose to do so!”
I would think that they know more about you and your ministers then any of us or for that matter what PDRM knows. What PDRM has on you and your ministers would be for PDRM to tell!

When you shoot to kill someone make sure the safety catch is off and you have real bullets in the gun – lest your intended victim also have a gun to defend himself! On 28th October the 1st Malay Special Branch officer was spotted loitering in the research areas in the archives spying on the research work on behalf of Hindraf carried out by Waytha Moorthy. The next day 29th October he came with a Pakistani/Bangladeshi looking mystery male and pointed out Waytha Moorthy to the mystery man.
Hindraf would hold the Malay-sian Special Branch responsible should anything untoward happened to Waytha Moorthy.
We are particularly concerned with the safety of Waytha Moorthy as over the last 3 months there has been political killings (hired killers) in the UK involving at least 2 overseas Political leaders /activists seeking asylum in UK.

Teog Beng Hock was murdered by UMNO government and now Beng Hock’s sister arrested in Galas
GUA MUSANG, Oct 31 — Teoh Lee Lan, sister of the late Teoh Beng Hock, was arrested today while distributing leaflets on her brother’s death.
Lee Lan (picture) was taken to the Gua Musang police district headquarters together with Beng Hock’s brother-in-law Soh Cher Hai and two other members of Malaysians for Beng Hock, Ng Yap Hwa and Toh Chin Hong.
Three hours after the arrest, lawyer Teo Nie Ching said that the police have informed her that the group was only called into have their statement recorded under the Criminal Procedure Code.
Teo claimed that when the police brought the group from Kampung Baru to the police station, they were told that they were arrested under the Election Offences Act.
She also complained that the four were denied legal representation during the first two hours of the arrest.
“Now the police said the four were not arrested, but were only called to have their statement taken under Section 121 of the CPC,” said the DAP’s Serdang MP.
Teo said the police have also assured her that the four would be released after recording their statements.
“We have lodged a police report because they were informed that the arrest was made under Election Offences Act,” said Teo who was accompanied by lawyers Thomas Su and Wong Kah Woh from DAP to meet with the four at the police station.
The group arrived in Gua Musang yesterday to lobby for the formation of a royal commission of enquiry to investigate the death of the political secretary to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah.
The 30-year-old Teoh was found dead on the 5th floor of Plaza Masalam last year after he was interrogated overnight in connection with suspected abuse of state funds by Selangor lawmakers.
An inquest into his death will resume on November 4.
Yesterday Soh claimed that he was assaulted by an MCA supporter while trying to meet Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Heng Seai Kie.
Heng, however, dismissed the allegations and had asked the group to keep the Beng Hock case out of the Galas campaign.

Umno dan Utusan Bohong Lagi
DAP kesal dengan tindakan Utusan Malaysia dan beberapa pemimpin Umno yang masih menyebarkan fitnah berbau perkauman kononnya orang Melayu akan dihalau dari Pulau Pinang. Pembohongan itu bukan sahaja satu dusta yang sengaja mahu membangkitkan kemarahan orang Melayu tetapi juga percubaan Umno untuk menutup kelemahan diri yang gagal membela bangsa Melayu.
IPT di Balik Pulau Kerajaan negeri Pakatan rakyat Pulau Pinang telah pun menjelaskan beberapa kali tentang cadangan pembinaan kampus institut pengajian tinggi (IPT) antarabangsa yang BELUM diluluskan permohonan. Tetapi Utusan dan Umno terus dengan fitnah mereka kononnya Melayu di Balik Pulau akan menjadi mangsa jika IPT-IPT berkenaan dibina.
Utusan dan Umno gunakan istilah “universiti Cina” dan “universiti Singapura” yang kononnya sudah diluluskan permohonan untuk menyebarkan api perkauman. Ini berita palsu dan tidak benar sama sekali. DAP berjuang untuk semua kaum dan peluang pendidikan juga untuk semua kaum.

Tetapi ini didiamkan sama sekali oleh Utusan dan Umno. Apakah mereka tidak mahu orang Melayu dan Islam menikmati peluang pengajian Al-Azhar melalui kampus tempatan di negeri sendiri?
Kerajaan negeri juga sudah menjelaskan bahawa dakwaan kononnya tanah 81 hektar di Pondok Upeh dan Kampung Genting di Balik Pulau sudah diwartakan untuk untuk pembinaan IPT adalah fitnah dan berniat jahat. Perkara ini juga telah pun disahkan oleh Pentadbir Tanah Daerah Barat Daya Pulau Pinang, Haji Jusni Ismail pada awal bulan Oktober 2010.
Malah daripada cadangan pembinaan IPT itu, ia dijangka hanya melibatkan 21 peratus pemilikan tanah orang Melayu. Daripada 15 rumah yang dikenal pasti (tetapi keputusan belum dibuat), hanya enam milik orang Melayu.
Cadangan untuk mengambil tanah bagi pemibinaan IPT juga melibatkan kemungkinan pengambilalihan tanah kawasan penternakan babi di kawasan itu. Mengapa Umno dan Utusan tidak menyatakan fakta ini? Mengapa Umno dan Utusan mahu bermain api perkauman?
Kampung Jalan Pokok Asam, Jelutong Apabila Mahkamah Sesyen menolak permohonan penduduk Kampung Jalan Pokok Asam di Jelutong yang mahu menghalang perobohan rumah mereka oleh pemaju dari Kuala Lumpur baur-baru ini, Umno dan Utusan menyalahkan kerajaan negeri Pakatan Rakyat.
Tetapi mereka hanya membangkitkan masalah kampung orang Melayu sahaja sedangkan kawasan yang mahu dibangunkan melibatkan lapan kampung di mana dua sahaja majoriti orang Melayu manakala enam lagi didiami oleh orang Cina.
Fitnah juga ditumpukan kepada projek perumahan sahaja, seolah-olah pengambilan tanah di kawasan itu tidak mengambil kira projek-projek pembangunan lain seperti perluasan kawasan sekolah dan pembinaan jalan untuk dihubungkan dengan Jelutong Expressway. Semua ini didiamkan oleh Umno dan Utusan kerana mereka tahu ia adalah pembangunan untuk rakyat.
Namun kita ingin tegaskan bahawa ini bukan soal perkauman. Hak adalah perkara asasi untuk setiap individu dan masyarakat. Pakatan Rakyat tidak akan terperangkap dalam isu perkauman yang dimainkan oleh Umno dan Utusan.
DAP bersama rakan-rakan Pakatan Rakyat telah berusaha untuk menjamin keadilan dan kesejahteraan kepada semua penduduk tanpa mengira kaum. Walau pun Mahkamah telah membuat keputusan, kita akan terus membantu mengikut kemampuan.
Tetapi Umno dan Utusan hanya mahu mengapi-apikan perkauman tanpa membuat apa-apa untuk membantu orang Melayu, Cina dan India yang mengalami masalah. Malah sewaktu Gerakan dan Umno menerajui kerajaan negeri, mereka juga tidak banyak berbuat apa-apa untuk rakyat miskin di Pulau Pinang.
Jika Umno jujur dan ikhlas membantu orang Melayu sejak lebih 30 tahun lalu, sudah tentu kehidupan orang Melayu sudah jauh lebih baik. Pakatan Rakyat yang tak sampai usia 3 tahun ini sedang berusaha untuk memperbaiki segala macam masalah yang ditinggalkan oleh Umno dan Gerakan sejak lebih 30 tahun itu.
Rakyat tidak sepatutnya mudah terpedaya dengan dakyah Umno dan Utusan. Pakatan Rakyat tetap komited untuk membantu semua kaum termasuk orang Melayu dan Islam bukan sahaja di Pulau Pinang tetapi juga di seluruh negara.

India increases scholarship fund for Malaysian Indian students “Big blow for Racist UMNO”

KUALA LUMPUR: India has increased the scholarship fund for ethnic Indian students in Malaysia from RM3.5 million to RM5 million
This was an increase of RM1.5 million on the annually disbursed funds.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who made the announcement while on a state visit here recently, also said announced 20 new scholarships for Malaysian students to study traditional system of medicine in India.
The scholarship fund was established in 1946 by former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru to help Indian students in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, in its blog, Human Rights Party (HRP) took credit for the Indian government’s decision to increase its scholarhips to Malaysian students.
HRP claimed that the move to augment the scholarship fund was a result of the party’s hard work in highlighting the plight of the Indian
“We submitted our requests in the form of various letters and memoranda to the Indian High Commission here as well as directly to the Indian premier.
“All those numerous letters have been put up on this website over the last several months as well,” reads the blog.
Clear message
“This is a clear message to the Umno government that the international community is aware of its racists ways,” it said.
Speaking to FMT, HRP information chief S Jayathas thanked Hindraf Makkal Sakthi chairman P Waythamoorthy for his efforts in highlighting the woes faced by Indian students here on the international arena.
“We have been pursuing the matter vigorously with the Indian government this year, with assistance from Waythamoorthy ,”said Jayathas, who is also Hindraf Makkal Sakthi’s national information coordinator.
He criticised the government for blacking out the news (on the Indian scholarships), alleging that it deliberately muzzled the mainstream media.
“The increase in allocation was a big blow to the Umno-led government. I hope this will be a lesson… to treat Indian students fairly,” said Jayathas, who urged the government to allow Indian students who score 7As and above in SPM to enter university.

A small fry in the California state assembly, Chuck DeVore, can now dictate to the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whom she can or cannot meet.
I can remember studying history in the 60's (now no longer a history lesson in Malaysia) that the United States revolved and truly function in a democratic system.
Now I fear to see President Obama becoming desperate in running his country, which was once the most powerful country in this world and respected by world leaders across the globe. Is it that in order to maintain this position, the US has no choice but to sleep with dictatorships and authoritarian leaders who are willing to follow its foreign policies?
So, is this Chuck Devore sent by President Obama to dictate to the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton not to meet up with the Opposition leaders during her trip to Malaysia, OR, is this Chuck Devore paid to do this dirty job and is a political assassin engaged by the present ruling government of Malaysia?
What this fellow Chuck Devore described of the Malaysian Opposition Leader may or may not be true but did he not see or hear the worst about the Prime Minister who is willing to shed blood in order to stay in power and maybe even genocide? There are so many baggages that this Prime Minister is carrying and I wonder why this Chuck fellow had not said a single word about it.
The Opposition leaders are fighting for democracy and freedom in Malaysia and it looks like this Chuck fellow is under some directive from someone to make sure that it does not happen.
