Entire MIC leadership should just leave

It is interesting to note that KP Samy wants change the MIC leadership because they have failed the Indians in all aspects such as education, employment, Maika Holdings, housing, temple issues etc.

Maika alone has 80,000 odd shareholders who are suffering to pay loans and mortgages they took from banks and financial institutions to buy the shares. In the past, we had Indian banks and even MIC unit trusts but all these were lost due to the failure of the MIC leaders who did not play any role in increasing the wealth of Indians.

The MIC leaders and their cronies have enriched themselves at the expense of the poor Indian. The change in MIC now must be total and this includes doing away with S Subramaniam and his cronies who were sitting together with him as deputy president at one time.

The Indians need dynamic leaders who have the fire in their hearts to serve the society and lift them up from their current situation.

Winning an general election under the banner of Barisan Nasional does not mean a thing for the Indians today as can be seen from past experiences.

After every election, the Indian MP or state assemblyperson will drive in their new Mercedes to show that he has progressed - what do we Indian voters get?

The entire MIC leadership must vacate their seats to pave the way for a new regime and this must be headed by professionals such as judges, economists, bankers, educationists and industrialists.

They must run MIC for a certain number of years to set the appropriate mechanisms in place in order to drive and bring progress to all Indians regardless of ideology and unite them under one umbrella.

The aim of this change is to see that we have a set of objectives to be achieved so that the Indians can recover what they have lost since 1970.

Our objectives must be clear and every Indian should be able to understand the programme and be given the opportunity to participate and contribute towards our society.

Every MIC leader must declare his or her assets to avoid corruption and nepotism.

This will ensure that the new leaders will be aware of the risk and responsibility in being a leader or holding any public post representing the Indian community.

The above can only be achieved if we eliminate all the incompetent MIC leaders at present.

Change must take place at all cost or it will bring further ruin upon society.
