Gerakan : who cares about Indians?

Kawan-kawan, when I first heard this I felt sad again. We are all in the same boat. We really have to ask ourselves : who really cares about the Indians in this country?

Do you, dear reader, as an individual, care about the Indians around you? Not only are Indians our friends, neighbours, citizens and fellow Malaysians, but they are people too, just like us. I know this will not sound like the usual me but I think its high time that we go out and hug an Indian.
(And in the same breath who really cares about the Dayaks, the Kadazans, the Punjabis, the Penans, the Thais, etc.)

I felt sad and angry again when I heard that this time around the Gerakan will not be fielding even one Indian candidate in its line up. Gerakan is fielding 12 candidates for Parliamentary seats and 31 candidates for State seats throughout Malaysia. Despite saying that they are a multi-racial party, Gerakan says they cannot find any capable Indians to be fielded as candidates. So much for Gerakan's version of multi-culturalism and multi-racialism.
In stark contrast, the DAP is fielding a record 30 Indian candidates, 10 for Parliamentary seats and 20 more for State seats.

To my Indian friends, let me tell you that the greatest strength God has given all of us is self-help. Help yourselves. Fifty years of voting for the BN has not been much 'self-help' at all. Just stop voting for the BN. Please tell this to your mum and dad, to appa and amma.

No capable Indians? In Singapore, for the first time, the position of Minister of Finance and Minister of Education is held by one man, an Indian by the name of Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Folks say Mr Tharman was born in Perak. You can read his profile at this site :

Gerakan has a poor track record in fielding Indians in the first place. I recall one Rina something who was a Gerakan candidate sometime ago, but that was it. Gerakan should not beat around the bush. They should stop calling themselves a multi-racial party. Just be honest lah and say point blank that you have no place for Indians.

To all Indians, duty calls upon you all to stand up for your own community. The time has come. The time is now. God does not change the condition of a people until they themselves change their own condition. For 50 years the Indians have been the most loyal supporters of the Barisan Nasional. The Indians have been more loyal to the BN than any other race in Malaysia, including the Malays.

What has that got you? Last year, only one Indian student was given a medical seat in a Government medical school. Now Gerakan says, despite there being almost 3 million Indians, there are no capable Indians to be fielded as candidates in the elections. Please wake up. This time around send the Gerakan and the BN into the dust bin. Its high time you stopped voting for them.
BN, 'We are taking you down'.
