Re: Thaipusam: HINDRAF 100,000 signature campaign @ Batu Caves on 7/2/12 on non delivery of HINDRAF 18 point demands by UMNO P.M. Najib Razak.

The HINDRAF 18 point demands dated 12/8/2007 which in effect calls for equality, equal opportunities and for the end of all state sponsored and private sector racism which excludes and segregates in particular the Indian poor from the national mainstream development of bi racial 1 Malay-sia has not been delivered by the UMNO led Prime Minister Najib Razak despite five(5) years on today.

In reemphasizing the need to end this level of racism, HINDRAF would be launching a 100,000 signature campaign during the Thaipusam festival at Batu Caves on 7/2/12 beginning from 9.00 am outside the main entrance calling upon UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak to forthwith seriously deliver the HINDRAF 18 point demands.

We hereby call upon Prime Minister Najib Razak on the occasion of his visit to Batu Caves on 7/2/12 to stop his “kosong” political rhetoric but to forthwith for starters at least23049 announce the granting of:-

1) Permanent land titles to all Hindu temples and Hindu cemeteries nationwide and gazette the same accordingly.

2)Ten(10) acres of land to each and every of the 523 Tamil schools, gazetting and making the same fully financially aided schools with equal per capita student allocation and facilities as accorded to any other National school.

3)Especially so in undoing the 55 years of injustices to the Indian poor, a ten(10) acre Felda like land ownership self employment scheme is granted to 500,000 hardcore Indian poor.

4) Affordable housing for all homeless including Indian poor “squatters”.

5) Minimum wage of RM1,500.00 per month for all 1 Malaysians.

This 100,000 signature petition would be delivered to the Prime Minister at Putrajaya on 19/2/12 at 10.00 am.

Rights not mercy

Thank you,

Yours faithfully,

P.Uthayakumar
