Imam flings shoes at judges over eviction case
Cherry Bun: Though throwing shoes or objects at judges is wrong, we should understand the frustration and injustice being done to the imam.
The fact that the judges decided not to charge the imam for contempt of court also reflect something is not proper in the court system.
Anyway you look at it, the Malaysian justice system is in serious trouble.

When the litigant was not represented by lawyers, he could easily have slipped on the myriad of procedural rules. Even lawyers sometimes get entangled in them.
Some leeway should have been given to the unrepresented litigant, especially where no substantial prejudice is caused to the opposing party that cannot be compensated with costs.
Justice Kini: Everything has a boiling point. The rule of law should be applied to everyone, with no bias.
In general, the public has totally lost respect for courts as well as judges, which warrants the imam to act in such a manner.
Mend the legal system to be like in the good old days when the judges really held true to their oath to do justice in a fair manner with no political masters.

Ah Hoe: Unbelievable! Not because the imam threw a shoe but because the judges dare not file a contempt charge against an imam for committing what was a sheer blatant unpardonable show of contempt for the court.
No wonder, no one respects the Malaysian judiciary anymore.

Cracks appear in Umno fortress of Felda Palong
Alan Goh: PKR has to win the hearts and minds of the Felda settlers and the kampung Malays if Pakatan Rakyat is to have any hope of taking over Putrajaya.
The urban and suburban Malays and non-Malays are well-informed on the abuses and corruption of Umno-BN but not the Malays from the rural areas due to the one-sided government-controlled mass media.
Hopefully, with the Anything But Umno (ABU) campaign reaching all parts of the country, including Sabah and Sarawak, we could see a new government after GE13.
Stay focused, Pakatan, and keep on highlighting the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) scandal involving the Wanita Umno chief and her family, the Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGVH) proposed listing headed by its tainted chairperson, then hopefully, the rural Malays will wake up from their slumber.

Kairos: That's the way to go about preparing for the next GE. PKR and PAS must continue to infiltrate the Felda strongholds slowly but surely.
The recent response to Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim and Wan Azizah is indeed very encouraging. Pakatan must capitalise on the confusion of the Felda settlers over the listing issue.
There is obviously a growing undercurrent of dissatisfaction over the government's handling over the IPO (initial public offering) of FGVH. Now is the time for Anwar and Wan Azizah to step up their efforts to gain ground in the traditional Umno strongholds.
A silver lining is appearing at the end of the rainbow for the opposition in the Felda areas. Work hard now and reap the fruits later.
