IPOH: DAP chairman Karpal Singh has lodged police reports against Selangor CPO Khalid Abu Bakar and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officer Raub Ghani.
The reports, lodged at the district police station here yesterday, were for alleged criminal intimidation against Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan
Eng and a false report against Thai forensic pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand.
Karpal said there was no basis for Khalid to threaten to arrest Lim if the latter failed to give his statement on an alleged seditious remark made during last December’s Pakatan Rakyat convention.
On the report against Raub, Karpal said the officer had claimed that Dr Pornthip leaked a forensic report relating to the death of political aide Teoh Beng Hock to the PKR weekly, Suara Keadilan.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail has cleared Dr Pornthip of the allegations.
On Thursday, Karpal warned the police not to arrest Lim for refusing to give a statement.
