Trust NRD? Not in a million years

your say'There is no such thing as 'just trust us'. This is not acceptable. The rakyat has the right not to trust the government.'

Bersih: NRD's Mismah-gate clarification unacceptable

RR: It is treason to put non-citizens on the electoral rolls. It is really selling the country to foreigners.

As a senior citizen, I am appalled of this manoeuver. It is so easy to convert a PR (permanent resident) into citizen. Ironically, thousands of Indians born and bred here in Malaysia are without birth certificates and citizenship.

Muak: There is no such thing as "just trust us". This is not acceptable. The rakyat has the right not to trust the government. This is not one, not twice, not three times that the Umno-BN government has taken the rakyat for a ride. Enough is enough.

The government must show proof and it is the government's duty to convince the rakyat. The rakyat will no longer take a "just trust us" answer for anything.

Blogsmith: Even with biometric system, I believe there is no safeguard against a particular biometric data being used more than once. Please ensure this is not possible before agreeing to the use of the biometric system.

Bluemountains: Bersih must now send a petition to the king to demand for an independent body to conduct a public inquiry on the entire electoral system and to clean up the electoral rolls before the next GE is allowed to take place. Some parties are desperately trying to win by cheating.

Fly Emirates: The NRD (National Registration Department) should explain to the public their workflow and standard operating procedures if they hope to regain the public's trust.

All organisations today, whether public and private, have ISO certifications. Just show us your manual and let us know how you do it. Simply saying 'just trust us' does not work in the 21st century.

Kgen: Hello, Fly Emirates. Making public their workflow and standard operating procedures means nothing if the organisation is managed by crooks.

The EC (Election Commission) says they have a 33-step verification process before they put anybody on the rolls. Despite this, thousands of permanent residents got in. It's the people managing the system that counts, not the procedures.

There is no way we can trust EC to implement a biometric system. Would you trust a crook to look after your house when you go for holiday?

S Ambiga, get on with Bersih 3.0 and hold it in every major town. These crooks in the EC and NRD are not going to listen to you. They haven't heard the message from Bersih 2.0, so we'll deliver them a louder message.

Ferdtan: As NRD director-general is the highest civil servant in the division, we expect the head, Jariah Mohd Said, to take responsibility.

Police reports must be made to determine the truth if the country's citizenship has been fraudulently given to illegal immigrants. This is high treason and against the security of the nation; and if the director-general is complicit in the illegal act, she must be charged.

Dood: And some people wonder why Bersih is needed. This is why.

Mangodurian: Is there no law against this in our penal code, election laws or the constitution itself? One could very well import enemies of the state and plant them as moles and saboteurs by using this method. This should very well qualify for 'waging war against the king'.

With alleged cheats like this that at best are circumstantially linked to Umno-BN, it takes more than a normal election to 'dethrone' this evil leadership. We have no trust in the election system nor its supposedly independent commission.

The fact is that the referee is tainted. How to win? In boxing, the audience can see for themselves a KO (knock-out), but elections are not transparent like sports.

Anonymous: My wife's brother has applied for citizen since 1970 and till today, he is still holding a PR MyKad. How come Mismah got a blue MyKad earlier than him?

Khairuddin Mohd Yusof: The Mismah-gate affair is just the tip of the iceberg. However, please make this issue and many others known to the international community so that justice can be delivered to the people of Malaysia.

Fateh: It has always been very clear that since the last election, the ruling government has been desperately trying to wrestle back the three states - Selangor (top priority), Perak (which they did through all the dirty means) and Penang.

Therefore, if nothing is done with those crooks to rectify the issue, then we will see the same old corrupted leaders at the helm.

By Election Fan: Ambiga, their masters are now planning for the dirtiest GE we can ever expect. Bersih 2.0 did not make them learn the lesson. Please organise Bersih 3.0.

You name the date and we shall flood KL again. Please save Malaysia for our children.

200,000 Indonesians listed as voters, claims Anwar

Anonymous_ABG: If this malpractice continues, it is a matter of time this country will be taken over by foreigners and ruled by them. Members of the public should be aware of the danger and must take action to safeguard the nation for our future generation.

Fair and Open: The BN government is beginning the process of selling the country. Today 200,000, soon 20 million.

A few more generations later, there will be more Indonesians than Malaysians. Somebody called Bambang Susanto will be our new 'perdana menteri'. It will be Indonesia 1st, Malaysian 2nd and Malay last.
