Hindraf represents Tamil racists: Mamak Mahathir

Mamak Mahathir Mohamad has written in his blog that "Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) represents Tamil racists who look to their old masters, the British, to protect them.

"They don't believe in Malaysian institutions," he further said.

"And they speak not just of Indians but of Tamils as a separate race. They and their apologists are racist to the core," he added.

Dr Mahathir said Malaysian Indian Congress president S. Samy Vellu insisted that he was the only leader of the Indians.

"He refused to allow other Indian political parties to join Barisan Nasional. His arrogance was unbearable. The defeat of the MIC is entirely because of him," he added.

Dr Mahathir accused Samy Vellu for spreading racial sentiments by sympathising with the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).

Reacting to the charges of racism against him, the former Prime Minister blamed Samy Vellu for MIC's poor show in the last elections, The New Strait Times reported.

Responding to a blog posting, he said that his son-in-law was not and had never been chief executive officer of MTrans, but just worked for the company.

mi1: Look who's talking, a mamak with strong Indian background now struggling to establish a bumiputra image. I wonder which race does he fit in, Mamak, Malay or Indian. You can trust a Malay but not a Mamak.
