KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- P. Balasubramaniam's neighbour has lodged a police report saying that the house of the private investigator in Taman Pelangi, Rawang, had been broken into.
Gombak OCPD ACP Rahim Abdullah said the neighbour, M. Sadasivam, 51, noticed the break-in at about 3.30pm Thursday when he came to feed Balasubramaniam's pet dog.
"He was feeding the dog when he saw the back door and the iron grill were ajar. He then lodged a report at the Rawang police station," he said when contacted.
Rahim said police were still investigating if there were items missing from the house. "Whatever it is, only Balasubramaniam knows if there are items missing," he said.
Balasubramaniam disappeared from public view last weekend, just days after he issued a statutory declaration about the deputy prime minister's alleged involvement with slain Mongolian Antantuya Shaariibuu.
However on July 3, Balasubramaniam issued another declaration to retract all allegations he made against Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Wednesday, police said they managed to track Balasubramaniam in a foreign country, and had sent officers to record his statements pertaining to the two statutory declarations as well as his disappearance.
