INTERLOK - IMMEDIATE BAN - THE ONLY SOLUTION to maintain peace and harmony

The Interlok issue seem to have been blown out of proportion. Our leaders, especially DPM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin should have taken a 'quick and immediate' steps to see whether it affects any of the communities feelings or not but had just sat back and let his 'sleepy' and one-sided committee to look into the matter and give their views. As an Education Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin had 'failed' in his task. Remember, Tan Sri Muhyiddin is DPM, a DPM for all Malaysians.

When there is so much of controversy with Interlok, why keep it - JUST REMOVE IT from the education system and replace it with a book that promotes MUHIBAH.

Malaysian leaders especially from UMNO should try to cultivate racial harmony among the diverse Malaysian society and not try to split them. Remember what happen in Tunisia and Egypt could happen here too.

Look at Hindraf, they are seeking a ban on Interlok for calling them a 'pariah' and had served notice of a grand rally coming this 27 February at Kuala Lumpur, while the police have already started their arrest and crackdown on its(Hindraf or HRP) leaders who have been convening close-door small group sessions to highlight their plight.

Next will be the Chinese community where a claim in Interlok had been made where female Chinese children will be 'sold' would become a big issue. Read here

The BN government need to realise that if the Chinese and Indians were to protest coming this 27th, the nation will be in total 'disgrace'. Using police brutality, arrest and force is not the solution. Furthermore, a lot of Malays also feel the same and may join hands to help their 'brothers and sisters'. Then what is going to happen?

Malaysia has been portraying that its citizens of diverse culture, race and religion live in harmony with one another and should be a 'model' for other nations to follow. What a crap.

Its time for PM Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak to immediately intervene and scrap the Interlok book from the education scene, to maintain peace and harmony.
