Get your ASB dividend and stop asking too many questions. Questions like:
1) Why was that French lawyer detained like some big time terrorist and then deported? Immigration officers boarded a plane just after it landed in KL from Penang and took him into custody and then sent back to France because he violated his entry conditions.
Did he violate when he briefed some people on the wrongdoings associated with purchase of Scorpene submarine or because he was going to drop a bomb on some shifty defence deals.
I can’t figure out why the authorities would make a big song and dance about a lawyer who spoke at some obscure dinner unless it was nervous about the contents of his speech.
But please don’t speculate on the real reasons why the lawyer was deported.
Why? Because the government says so.
2) Why are senior officials of the most controversial government agency heading a committee to transform that sorry agency? I am referring to the MACC, that same outfit where witnesses/suspects end up dead and where investigators alternate between watching porn, use unusual interrogation tactics and lie habitually.
The Malaysian Insider reports that the MACC will take on board all the recommendations of the Royal Commission on Teoh Beng Hock. Ok that’s good.
But hang on there, look at the review committee members. There is the MACC chief and another bunch of senior MACC guys and a couple of yes-men.
No representatives from the Bar Council or any non-governmental organisation?
Wow, this is like stacking a disciplinary committee hearing Wayne Rooney’s case with Manchester United board members.
Anyone, don’t speculate.
3) Who was behind this plan to import a diamond ring supposedly valued about RM24 million into the country? Who owns it? Who paid for it? Why is it necessary to show off so much bling at a time when everyone is being asked to tighten their belts?
Don’t speculate, lah bro.
