This is a clear cut case of murder either with intention or by way of negligence by the interrogators at the MACC. They never expected the victim to die so they had to cook up a story to make it believable.
But the good thing is every time they try, they actually expose what would have actually happened.
This brings about the fact that is already known to us the masses of the Malaysia and the whole world at large, that our judiciary is just another weapon in the arsenal of the Umno dominated executive that we have. If the people don’t trust the government anymore and then they hate the sight of judges in the court rooms, then what else can we do to keep up the lies and the spin, get some old retired judges and form a lame Royal Commission of Inquiry whose recommendations are supposed to be without any bias.
From what we have seen, the result of the RCI is very clear, they have been sent in to do the damage control and ultimately get back the confidence of the Chinese voters to vote for BN again. But sadly, the RCI has proven to be another chapter of the great drama or ‘sandiwara’ which our Federal Government is so good at.
The RCI would have been appreciated if they had insisted on the officer by the name of Hishammuddin whose name appeared in the poison pen letter detailing his style of interrogation and that TBH was also questioned by him, to be brought before them and subject to the gruelling questioning by the members of the RCI and the legal fraternity that was there to represent the interested parties.
The poison pen letter was one of the best clues which would have led the investigators to the murderers but the Coroner’s court decided to ignore it and so it the RCI. The same will also happen to the case of Ahmad Sabrani, the senior customs officer who was also alleged to have run off from his interrogators and jumped off a building from a spot that seemed very inconceivable. Even if a RCI is called for this death, it will end up with the same result which says that the victim had committed suicide.
Ultimately, what can be seen here is that when the going gets tough and the people demand a RCI, the Umno led government is even prepared to sabotage the RCI to ensure that it is filled with its loyalist who will ultimately exonerate it from any wrong doing. So a RCI is actually useless, the people have to come to terms with it and seek other means to bring the government to book for its misdeeds which leads to death by involvement of its officers in their pursuit to ensure that only the Umno led government stays in power perpetually.
Like the Police who come under the Home Ministry, the MACC comes under the PM’s Office which ultimately will tell us that it is an agency which the PM can use to kill off his political enemies. Never will the MACC head commissioner ever think of investigating his own boss, therefore having an anti corruption commission in the first place is a total waste of time unless we as Malaysians are committed to a system of good governance.
It is not about not respecting the commissions findings, it is more of whom can we trust anymore? A person has died whilst in the custody of the authorities, if it is not the authorities who are at fault who else can we logically blame?
There are some who will take advantage of this and spread lies and spin on the Malaysian masses who have now become the most submissive people on the planet which a study concludes. The MCA which is totally bankrupt of ideas after decades of playing ‘Ah Long’ to Umno and its business connections, is now claiming that the DAP should take the rap for the murder of TBH in the hands of the MACC, forgeting the fact that it was an agency of the Federal government that it supports which had a hand in the death of TBH.
By pointing the finger at the DAP it shows that their political acumen is no better than the Chinese serials that is shown so much in our pay TV. Instead of seeking to push forward an equality agenda amongst the BN compenent member parties, the MCA decides to point its finger to the DAP in the hope that they may get the Chinese votes again.
We have come to a point where a RCI is of no use, and when the people see this as being the predicament, there is no other choice than to seek justice through the streets like what we saw of the brave Malaysians on the 9th of July 2011. Taking lives seems to be a second nature for the MACC who act more like the Mafia then a government department really serious in busting graft. We can now likely see the same end for Ahmad Sabrani’s case should the government heed the call for a RCI into the late deputy customs director’s sudden death.
TBH’s death was first seen as a Chinese matter but now a Malay civil servant has also met with the same fate, so is this just a co-incidence of people running out and jumping out of government department buildings because they can’t take the questioning or is this a systematic method of eliminating those who will not co-operate and participate in the grand plan of keeping the lid tightly secured so that the status quo can go on unquestioned?
The Chinese have shown that they will not tolerate this kind of treatment from the government but will the Malays simply say that it was fated and let those in power scot free again and again? Ahmad Sabrani’s wife must get some confidence from Teoh’s family especially his sister who has fought on relentlessly despite knowing that the government will never admit its wrong doing.
The Malays must realise that one fine day, the public coffers and the Treasury will run dry and the gravy train will stop. Therefore the only way to save this beloved country of ours is to ensure that we use our democratic right to vote wisely and ensure that we are committed to a system of good governance and will not tolerate anything less. If a person is good and able, then he or she must be given the position no matter what the colour of their skin is or what race they come from and religion they profess. If they are able to deliver the best, then it is they who must be appointed. This will spur others on to do their best.
The RCI has lost all its importance and impartiality, it has now become another stage show that the ruling puppet masters put on every time their other acts fails to hit the record highs in ‘ticket sales’! it is now up to us Malaysians, to get our act together and collectively put these puppet masters out of business.
