Najib Dares 'Stupid' PAS To Leave Pakatan

Kuala Lumpur - Gathering his troops to face their "toughest election in the history of the country", Umno president Najib Abdul Razak today launched a blistering attack on Pakatan Rakyat in front of 2,700 party delegates.

Calling PAS a "stupid" (kedalui) party exploited by DAP, Najib challenged the Islamic party to cut its relationship with the secular DAP.

"If their struggle is based on Islam, stop becoming DAP's friend!" said a fiery Najib in his winding-up speech at the Umno annual general assembly at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, which was broadcasted live on state television.

During his hour-long speech, Najib entertained the delegates by poking fun at PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.

"We never disappoint the people, we never lie to the people. The problem is the one over there. He is not powerful but only good at crowing. He crows loudly like a cock but only lays one egg, sometimes not even one.

"Crow here and crow there, lie here and lie there, cheat here and cheat there, slander here and slander there, play here and play there (main sini, main sana)," he quipped, setting off an explosion of laughter.

Describing Anwar's failed plan to take over Putrajaya on Sept 16, 2008, as "the biggest lie in the history of Malaysia", Najib claimed Anwar tried to entice BN MPs with all kinds of offers through third parties, but none of them accepted.

"This is an undemocratic process," he blasted.

"He has defamed me for three years, but defaming me is not enough - my wife, who is quietly sitting there, is also attacked by him.

"I had sworn in the name of Allah in the mosque four times. I would like to ask him, how many times has he sworn? He did not swear either inside or outside of the mosque. Did he carry the Holy Quran?" Najib asked.

Najib was referring to the oath he took in 2008 to rebut allegations that he was involved in the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

"He didn't even dare to swear in court, but he made political speeches. But it (sodomy trial) was not about politics, it was between him and (Mohd) Saiful (Bukhari Azlan), not us. It has nothing to do with us.

"This kind of person wants to become prime minister?" he asked, without once referring to Anwar by name.

'PKR breaks world record in defection'

Najib then derided PKR as the party that broke the world record of having the highest number of members quitting the party, including six MPs, five state assemblypersons, a deputy president, a vice-president, secretary-general, supreme council members and even Anwar's own lawyer.

"So, he uses DAP chairperson (Karpal Singh) as his lawyer. All his secrets are with DAP now, right? His lawyer knows everything about him."

Najib repeated the joke that Anwar should be given an Oscar award for his 'acting' during the Bersih 2.0 demonstration, when the opposition leader was injured and seen lying in hospital, wearing his yellow Bersih T-shirt.

"He wanted to portray to the world that Malaysia is a police state," he lamented.

Najib stressed that his 1Malaysia concept and transformation programmes do not sideline the Malay agenda.

"When I visit the grassroot in estates and Chinese villages, it does not mean I have less commitment to the struggle for Malay interest.

"I did so because we have to ensure this nation receives the support from all ethnic groups because the future of Umno also depends on other races."

Before finishing the speech, Najib forcefully warned that the status of Islam, Malay community and Malay rulers would be undermined if Umno is defeated in the next general election, which he described as the "toughest election in the history of the nation".
"It will determine whether Malaysia will move towards becoming an advanced nation with bright future with Umno and BN, or embark on the tragic road full of destruction with Pakatan Rakyat," he shouted.

"If we remain complacent, humiliation and destruction will fall on us one by one, traitors and liars will destroy our throne, and we will have to squat in our motherland."

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin desires a unified school system for Malaysia. What it means is that Barisan Nasional will be willing to become one party with membership open to all races and religions in Malaysia. In return, the Malaysians must allow a unified school system in Malaysia. In Malaysia they have national schools and national type schools. Whatever Khairy wants to comment about should be confined to national schools, not the national type schools. As regards to national type schools, Khairy should hold his tongue and mind his own business.

It does not matter what Khairy Jamaluddin says or does not say. In the world of the future we will see China growing stronger socially, politically, and economically. That’s it. With every passing day both China and India are growing stronger socially, politically, and economically. Khairy Jamaluddin’s statements will not make any changes. In the world of the future it may be an asset to know Chinese language. Khairy should encourage more Malays to send their children to Mandarin medium schools.

Some how, Khairy Jamaluddin is trying to create a link between the UMNO-BN on the one hand and Chinese medium and Tamil medium schools on the other hand. Who cares about the future of UMNO-BN? Nobody. Whether UMNO-BN wins or loses the next elections, the Chinese and Tamil medium schools should and will survive. No political party should touch the Chinese and Tamil medium schools. Whatever changes that the political parties want to make in the education sector should be regarding the national schools, not national type schools.

Who cares whether Barisan Nasional is divided into numerous component parties or becomes a singular multi racial and multi-religious party? It will make no difference because with every passing day both China and India are strengthening socially, politically, and economically. This is the future. The future is not Khairy Jamalludin. Khairy is too small for China. The future is China and India; and both nations are non-Muslim nations. The Chinese in Malaysia should continue to send their children to Chinese medium schools. Penang, Sabah, and Sarawak deserve greater autonomy. Furthermore, Philippines claims Sabah. Does Sabah belong to Malaysia or Philippines? We need one nation with several systems in Malaysia. One nation with one system will not work in a multi-religious and multi-lingual nation like Malaysia.

Philippines is a non-Muslim nation; and therefore all non-Muslim Malaysians should give moral support to the Philippine claim to Sabah.

In the 1960's and !970's, many Chinese Malaysians spoke English among themselves. In year 2011, Chinese Malaysians speak Mandarin among themselves. I would like to commend UMNO-BN government for strengthening and consolidating the Mandarin language in Malaysia. UMNO-BN should be credited for increasing Mandarin usage in Malaysia. What ever changes in the education sector that UMNO brought about is indeed on the right track because Mandarin usage has increased. Furthermore, UMNO has been visionary because she has been able to predict the rise of China in the 21st century. Increasing Mandarin usage will benefit Malaysia because China is a rising power in this world. If only UMNO continues her pro-Mandarin policy, it will augur well for Malaysia in the long run. It is time to consider making Mandarin an official and national language in Malaysia.

Yes, one nation with one system will not work in a multi-religious and multi-lingual nation like Malaysia. All the three languages, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil, are different niches in Malaysia. They all contribute to Malaysia. Please ask Khairy to hold his tongue and mind his own business as regards to Chinese medium and Tamil medium schools.

At the global level, both Mandarin language and English will compete for influence. It is often a numbers game; and believe me that China with more than a billion people have an advantage in any numbers game. May be Chinese English will eventually be tolerated world-wide. (I define Chinese English as L1 interference English). Since China has a growing economy and more than 1 billion people, it would eventually be hard to avoid L1 interference English. The Chinese Malaysians should make sure that Mandarin medium schools grow in Malaysia.

The bottom line is that, no matter who says what, the future is that with every passing day both China and India are growing socially, politically, and economically. I don't care who says what; and I don't care who does what. Nothing can change the fact that with every passing day both China and India are strengthening socially, politically, and economically. That's it. The bottom line is the bottom line.

Orang Asli are the indigineous people of Malaya, not Malays. Also, Dr.Chandra Muzzafar is too much of a weakling to speak for Indians. No Malaysian Indian would care or take his leadership. He should remain silent.
