‘Ambiga, the whole country, the people, including those silent majority, are all in support of your noble cause.'
We shall not be cowed, says Bersih
Cat Lover: These are very wise comments from Bersih co-chairperson S Ambiga. It's all about voter education. Umno-BN perfectly illustrates the need of it, again and again, and again.
They think that if they go after Bersih's leaders, things will quiet down. They won't. They think that if they copy Bersih, it will face a setback. It won't.
The more they fight back, the bigger Bersih will become.
Anonymous #06659895: Yes, our dear sister Ambiga, voter education roadshow cum Bersih 4.0 must be before the 13th GE (unless Bersih's demands are met) and the Bersih rakyat will not be cowed by those in authority.
We must make sure voter education get into the heads of the voters. Bersih supporters, please do our part in voter education because Ambiga can't be going all over the country.
Whatsup: Ambiga, well done. We are with you all the way. What a righteous thing to do - asking for clean and fair elections.
Jedi_Who: Umno is saying that it is representing the majority and they don't want clean and fair elections.
But, on the other hand Bersih and the rakyat is saying if there are clean and fair elections maybe Umno will become the minority.
Cala: Why are they so fearful to lose in the next GE? To a regime that has been involved in resource allocation to its members in the last 54 years, any threat to its continued enjoyment would be frowned upon.
Unchecked, this group of politicians and their agents would be deciding what is best for them when they work on public projects but based on private interests, typical of public choice theory condemned by the West.
Anonymous #469123469: You are absolutely right, Ambiga. Do not bow to their intimidation and threats and what not. You are not alone in the fight for democracy.
The whole country, the people, including those silent majority, are all in support of your noble cause.
Carry on with your objectives, and remember the few hundred thousand that you have seen, including the bigger numbers that will come out later, if you do go for the next level of Bersih.

Gerakan objects to stalls outside Ambiga's house
Think_Act_Live_Now: If Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) issues the permit, then it's only showing itself to be pro-Umno and goes to show that the cordoning off Dataran Merdeka for Bersih 3.0 was politically motivated.
Artchan: I hope they will set up stalls, and this time, I am sure the major foreign news services will be there.
It will really showcase Malaysia to the world. Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen will be a very happy person as she has always lamented that there is no enough exposure for Malaysia.
GovPayMaster: "However, Gerakan vice-president Mah Siew Keong urged the police and local authorities to ensure tight security to avoid any ‘untoward' incidents."
He is indirectly saying, it is okay to go ahead, just to make sure they are safe. Shouldn't he say, "I urge local authorities not to provide approval for the ill-intended event?"
Sadirah: Gerakan, you can object all you want but it is Umno that runs this country and if you have not realised this, then this is the time to learn.
You are just barking dogs that do not matter because they know you cannot bite. It is better you keep quiet and maintain whatever little credibility you have than open your mouth and be fully ignored.
There are enough laws to deal with this matter. Had this been done in front of a minister's house, all hell would break loose.
Patchen: Do not retaliate. That's exactly what they are waiting for. You set up stalls, they set their hooligans on you, you fight, and that's the end.
Martial law is declared and the BN remains in power forever. Consider why PM Najib Razak keeps on postponing the general elections.
Hang Tuah PJ: It's actions like that of these jokers than make the rakyat turn away from BN. I can bet you most of them were not in any of the roads during the Bersih rally.
They could not have put up stalls along Jalan TAR, Jalan Hishamuddin, Jalan Tun Perak, Raja Laut or KLCC. Even on normal days, they are not allowed to trade in these routes taken by Bersih 3.0 participants.
So who are actually these goons. Why are they suddenly appearing and saying they lost so much. I was at Bersih 3.0. So many petty traders made whopping business. Don't con us.
How much you are being paid to cause this ruckus?
Anonymous_3e86: While these stupid acts may irritate and inconvenience Ambiga, the rakyat sees it as a harassment ploy by BN to silence Ambiga. It will only backfire on BN as the public will show their resentment of such acts through their votes.
So Umno-BN, carry on with these stupid acts. It only makes it easier for Pakatan to reach Putrajaya.
Anonymous_3e86: The big boss of BN and Umno has remained silent all this while. Najib has not condemned these crude and stupid acts. His silence gives the perception that he encourages it.
