SAPP Youth give Yong full backing

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Youth Exco has given full and undivided support to party President Datuk Yong Teck Lee and the Supreme Council in the decision to pull out from Barisan Nasional.
SAPP Youth leader Edward Dagul said as a fundamental part of the party, the Youth Exco would do what is expected of them, and more to ensure that the objectives, especially the eight-point declaration of the Party, are met.

"We regret the decision of the former youth head Au Kam Wah to resign but we respect his personal reasons for doing so. We wish him the best for the future," he said after chairing the Youth Exco meeting Sunday.

Dagul said the main reason for the meeting was to further explain the position of the party as deliberated and decided by the Supreme Council at the meeting on Sept. 17.

The briefing conducted by Vice President Datuk Frankie Chong which should leave no doubt in anyone's mind as to the how, when and why the SAPP pullout from the national coalition.

He said the immediate plan of the Youth Exco was to embark on a roadshow to politically explain to members and the public on the party's stand.
