The End of Barisan Nasional?

“Kua Kia Soong has compiled a book with his frank and courageous views, comments and writings on a wide range of political, social and economic issues which have exercised the minds of all concerned Malaysians. He asks if the Barisan Nasional is capable of reform…”
- Dr Ronald McCoy, President of Malaysian Physicians for Social Responsibility
“Activist and historian Howard Zinn said that neutrality is not a viable option when events are already moving in certain deadly directions. Nothing about Kua Kia Soong’s latest book is neutral. He makes a compelling argument against neutrality and apathy in Malaysian politics. This book is essential reading for all citizens who care about the country and its future.”

THE END OF BARISAN NASIONAL?
Malaysian Political Issues
These recent writings by Dr Kua Kia Soong reveal one stark reality, namely, that the Barisan Nasional coalition that has ruled Malaysia since Independence in 1957 seems incapable of reform. In its 54-year rule, it has destroyed many of the democratic institutions that existed at Independence in 1957. Other institutions such as Royal Commissions of Inquiry have been systematically debased. Malaysia was in fact freer at independence than it is today.
Since the Prime Minister Najib Razak came into office in 2009 he has been following the advice of his spin doctors, including apparently, Tony Blair’s own Alastair Campbell of the Iraq “dodgy dossier” fame by promising reforms. Somehow, the promised reforms have all turned out worse than the original oppressive laws.
On the eve of Malaysia Day 2011, Najib promised reforms by undertaking to abolish the ISA and the other Emergency related laws and to review other laws relating to the freedoms of expression, assembly and association. Barely two months later, the BN government made new arrests under the ISA on the grounds of anti-terrorism.
As at end 2011, there were still over 50 detainees held under the ISA and more than 1000 being detained under the Emergency Ordinance and Dangerous Drugs Act. In 2011, the Najib government still used the crude old BN method of demonizing socialists when they arrested and detained several leaders of Parti Sosialis Malaysia under the Emergency Ordinance. By doing so, the BN government merely exposed their habitual use of detention without trial against dissidents and opposition leaders and their wanton abuse of the emergency laws.
The BN government has said that the ISA will be replaced by a Race Relations Act and an Anti-Terrorism Act. The author examines the BN record and asks if the BN is serious about improved race relations. Likewise, the proposed Anti-Terrorism Act looks like new packaging for the old poison, i.e. detention without trial.
There were ninety five deaths at the Simpang Rengam detention centre from 2000 to March 2007 and 635 deaths by police shootings from 1999 to 2009. These are unacceptable figures for the number of deaths in police custody and deaths by police shootings and only an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Committee can put this right. The BN government seems incapable of implementing this reform which was called for by the Royal Police Commission more than five years ago. One wonders if the police have any files on the BN leaders that are making them such untouchables!
Race, or to be more specific, “bumiputera-ism” has been the populist ideology of the ruling UMNO party since the ascendance of the UMNO capitalist class after May 13, 1969. It is unlikely that they will let go of this obsession with race to attract the Malay vote despite the vain attempt at putting on a “1Malaysia” front. This UMNO “conceptual trick” of pitting “bumiputeras” against the non-Malay “immigrants” is exposed in #7. Equally amusing is the attempt by BN apologists to rehabilitate the obnoxious concept, “ketuanan Melayu”, or “Malay dominance” and trying to justify it within “1Malaysia”. They merely end up looking rather foolish.
As in Papan and Bukit Merah in the eighties, the BN government prioritises profits before peoples’ health. The Lynas rare earth plant at Kuantan is but the latest multi-million project which is being opposed by the people of Kuantan and it is giving rise, for the first time, to a vibrant green movement in Malaysia.
While the mainstream media raises indignation over PAS’ commitment to the hudud laws, the writer points out their hypocrisy in not similarly raising any trenchant opposition to the BN government’s commitment to the death penalty since the latter is equally barbaric.
Sarawak and Sabah are regarded as safe “fixed deposits” of the BN. These two states are so richly endowed with natural resources, especially their forests and oil & gas deposits but have ended up as the poorest states after 48 years in the federation. This is the result of systematic pillage by their state elites in league with the federal elites over misconceived projects such as the Bakun dam and rampant logging activities. It is only a matter of time before the peoples of East Malaysia rise to stake their own destiny.
Arms’ spending is an area in which the BN government literally gets away with murder. Military procurements amounting to billions of ringgit are justified by appeal to “national security” sans transparency. To date, the two Scorpene submarines have been the most expensive (more than RM7 billion) but their link to the murder of the Mongolian translator Altantuya through alleged multi-million commissions remain an unsolved puzzle of BN rule.
The purchase of six Offshore Patrol Vessels at a cost of RM6 billion (the Defence Minister has since revealed that the real cost is RM9 billion!) is likewise presented to the Malaysian people as a fait accompli. It is unclear whether this fabulous defence equipment is acquired in the national interest or merely to fill the construction orders of another vested interest, namely our local military industrial complex.
Mismanagement and bad choices have led to the recurring crises in the energy industry. As a result of the 1992 energy crisis during Mahathir’s term in office, Independent Power Producers (IPPs) were foisted on TNB and the country as a fait accompli. These well-connected IPPs have managed to secure a pretty good deal out of the power purchase agreements with TNB. This has exacerbated the problems and contradictions within TNB and affected TNB’s share market performance through the years. Twenty years later, we are still counting the costs and bearing the burden of the BN government’s cosy relationship with these IPPs as reflected in the power purchase agreements contracted and the increase in electricity tariffs.
Is it surprising that the BN is prone to historical revisionism? Our professorial apologists for the BN got their intellectual knickers in a twist when they maintained that we were never colonized by the British. It was certainly a novel interpretation but intensely “Ah Q” as I have argued in #16. Theirs was a vain attempt to show that our gallant men at Bukit Kepong were not defending British colonialism and thus, chastise Mat Sabu for suggesting that the insurgents during the Emergency were fighting British colonialism.
Another attempt at historical revisionism was the rehabilitation of Dato Onn (bin Jaffar) as one of UMNO’s “honourable” leaders. In fact, Dato Onn’s questionable record on race relations and civil rights has made the author compare him to a latter-day ‘Perkasa’ as he abandoned multi-ethnicity for Malay-centrism to suit his political fortunes during the run-up to Independence. Today, as we put up with the racist garbage of the far right, Dato Onn’s record sounds familiar and reads like a cautionary tale for what reformist Malaysians should avoid.
Recently, the former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir has tried to use his memoirs to warp history. The assault on the Malaysian judiciary in 1988 was one of Dr Mahathir’s crudest attempts to cling to power when he was challenged by Tengku Razaleigh and showed that he does not respect, nor understands the meaning of ‘the rule of law’. But he cannot run away from that responsibility nor can he erase that history. This dark episode in Malaysian modern history has been meticulously recorded by Tun Salleh Abas and K. Das in “May Day for Justice”.
Dr Mahathir has also tried to claim that Operation Lalang was not his doing but that of the police. This is not surprising since Operation Lalang was Mahathir’s worst abuse of power during his 23-year rule. The White Paper on Operation Lalang published in 1988 was itself one of the worst examples of official whitewash to justify the arrests and detentions. We know that 1987 was a time during his term when he was faced with the biggest threat to his rule, with Team B under Tengku Razaleigh challenging the results of the UMNO elections. A court decision in Team B’s favour would have meant the end of Mahathir’s grasp on power.
The Tunku said when Ops Lalang happened: “Overnight Malaysia has become a police state.”
In a police state run by the BN, there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive. Such a situation is facilitated by the existence of laws that allow detention without trial. People in a police state experience restrictions on their freedoms of expression, assembly and association, while a secret police force operates outside the boundaries normally imposed by a constitutional state.
At the next (13th) general elections, among the demands for civil rights by the Chinese community in Malaysia, there will be one demand that asks for the return of Malaysian citizenship to Lim Lian Geok, the “Soul of the Malaysian Chinese”. The former leader of the Chinese education movement had his citizenship and teaching licence taken away in 1961 as explained in #20. The revocation of Lim Lian Geok’s citizenship is inextricably linked to UMNO’s Malay-centric language policy.
The acrimonious debates and controversies over the BN’s National Culture Policy (NCP) during the 1980s such as the ban on lion dances and other non-Malay cultural forms and developments since then are re-examined in #21. To date, UMNO’s education policy remains committed to the “ultimate objective” of the Razak Report 1956 and that is why the problems confronting the Chinese and Tamil schools remain unresolved. At the same time, the controversies surrounding conversions and Islamisation policy continue to erupt.
In the imbroglio created by UMNO’s flip-flopping policy on teaching Math and Science in English, the author argues that our education system should look at broadening the choices for students to receive mother tongue instruction not only for the Chinese and Tamils but also for the English-speaking families, our indigenous people and others, plus special education provisions for slow learners, autistic and disabled children.
The urgent need for reform in our country risks being undermined by populism on both sides of the political divide as they jostle for votes in the coming general elections. Besides BN’s cash handouts to civil servants, senior citizens, school children, Pakatan Rakyat has also indulged in populism since they came into power. The Selangor state government gives away free water without any form of means testing and without thought for “demand management” which is crucial to water conservation. More recently, to the call for reform of the civil service, PR says that while this makes economic sense, it is “politically foolhardy”. One wonders if their promised rescindment of the New Economic Policy will later be similarly jettisoned because of “political consideration”.
Politicians on both sides of the political divide need to be educated not only about human rights but also the rights of animals and trees. The reverence for all living things is common to the animist beliefs of all our ancient forefathers for whom the human-nature relationship is not to be treated on the basis of control, but on the basis of mutual respect. The discourse on human rights has now been extended to cover ecological concerns, i.e. the need to respect not only other human beings but also future generations as well as other species. Thus, the author asks Malaysian politicians if they have ever considered why the caged bird sings!
In “Fighting racism with solidarity”, the author calls on the Hindraf leaders to stay faithful to their just cause and correctly identify the primary role of capitalism and the state in causing racial oppression suffered by the Indian masses. The struggle against the Malaysian state can only succeed if it is anti-racist and the best non-racist approach to progress is still affirmative action based on need, class or sector. All progressive Malaysians are called upon to unite around the struggles of the marginalized communities and stop flinging the ‘racist’ label loosely at those who are fighting back at the Umnoputras who control the racist state. At the same time, it is vital that Hindraf works alongside other campaigns for justice, democracy and human rights.
After the downfall of BN, the struggle against neo-liberal capitalism will certainly go on as we fight for the rights and interests of the people. Pakatan Rakyat has not renounced neo-liberal policies which have allowed multi-national corporations and the big companies to plunder the country’s resources and buy up privatized resources at rock bottom prices. Powerful capitalist interests control our resources and markets and thrive on the cheap labour of Malaysian workers and migrant labour. The price has been paid by workers and the poor whose living standards and conditions continue to be pushed downwards.
Popular democratic participation is not only necessary in economic but also political institutions. There is a need for state intervention in the unfettered capital transfers by speculators and finance capitalists and nationalization of basic resources such as oil and gas; utilities such as water, energy; health, education and social services. Real democracy will never be attained merely through periodic general elections and relying on parliament alone but through direct action and popular participation.
Kua concludes this collection with the concrete reforms expected by Malaysian civil society of all parties and candidates in the 13th Malaysian general election. These reflect the aspirations of the Malaysian peoples at this juncture of Malaysian history and provide a new agenda for real change long overdue.

Please allow me to introduce you to Dr.Jeffry Kitingan. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan is a Christian Kadazan from Sabah. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan graduated from Harvard University. The Hindu Malaysians and Dr.Jeffry Kitingan have more things in common than we probably realize.
Dr.Jeffry, in the past, was detained under the infamous ISA. Many Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians, in the past, have also been detained under the ISA.

When Dr.Jeffry Kitingan is detained under ISA, it is a case of Muslims/UMNO detaining a non-Muslim. This is very hurtful. When Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians are detained under the ISA, again, it is a case of Muslims/UMNO detaining a non-Muslim. This is very hurtful too. You have to understand that Muslims detaining Muslims on the one hand, and Muslims detaining non-Muslims on the other hand are not the same. If you pause and think about it, you will understand me.

Dr.Jeffry Kitingan is a Christian Kadazan, and thus, a non-Muslim. Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians are also non-Muslim Malaysians. That is, both Dr.Jeffry and Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians are non-Muslims.

Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians have tried many political parties to seek better representation. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan also has tried many political parties before bringing together his Borneo Agenda/United Borneo Front and Third Front in Malaysian politics. I think, for Sabah, they must choose between Malaysia First or Sabah First. If the Sabahans cannot get the Federal government to accept Malaysia First at all levels, then the same Sabahans must go for secession by insisting on Sabah First. Sabah First means secession. In short, Malaysia first or secession for Sabah.

Christian Kadazans, Chinese Malaysians, and Hindu Malaysians have been alienated by Article 153 of the Federal Constitution. Actually, Article 153 of the Federal Constitution may be defunct because its 'life' is only for 15 years after independence in year 1957. Article 153 is only a temporary provision to the constitution. If Article 153 is now defunct, then why are the pro-UMNOputra policies and cronyism continuing? It is time to repeal Article 153, or has it been repealed already? If Article 153 is defunct, then the Rulers no longer have the authority granted by Article 153. Are UMNO people arbitrary people? It is time for non-Muslims to realize that Article 153 is non-existent, or is it not?

When Mr.Lee Kuan Yew, in the 1960's, insisted on Malaysia First at all levels, the honorable Tunku Abdul Rahman responded by expelling Singapore from the Federation. Now we have Dr.Jeffrey Kitingan from Sabah who has his Borneo Agenda/United Borneo Front. We will wait and see what happens? Will the Federal government expel Sabah from the Federation? If the Federal government expels Sabah from the Federation, then it may be good news for Sabahans. We will wait and see.

I would like to commend Dr.Jeffry Kitingan for attempting to assemble a Third Force in Malaysian politics. The Third Force is the Borneo Agenda/United Borneo Front. The creation of the Third Force has strengthened People Power in Malaysia. Rightfully, it is People Power that should rule Malaysia. People Power is higher than the Constitution, the Rulers and whoever else. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan, the Christian Kadazans, and other people power groups may end up being kingmakers. In addition, the Third Force is the Borneo Agenda/United Borneo Front needs to bear in mind that the rise of China and India will shift the balance of power.

I understand that both Brunei and Singapore are doing better than Sabah and Sarawak because they do not have a parasite and arbitrary people called UMNO/Article 153 of the Federal Constitution.. The arbitrary and parasitical habits of UMNO/Article153 have made UMNOputras rich at the expense of Sabah. Today, Sabah is among the poorer states in Malaysia. It is time for People Power to demonstrate itself. The creation of a coalition called the Third Force in Sabah and Sarawak will definitely increase People Power and may even lead to Sabah being a sovereign independent nation with closer relations with Singapore. I have nothing against helping the poor but it should be done in an unbiased non-racial, non-religious way.

For the Malays to say that the non-Malays must be grateful for the citizenship the Malays have given the non-Malays is a lame excuse. I wonder who gave the Malays citizenship, in the first place? The indigenous people of Malaya are the Orang Asli, and to my knowledge both Malays and non-Malays have yet to get citizenship from the Orang Asli. Besides, the Chinese and Hindu Malaysians have worked and contributed to the growth and development of this country for more than 100 years. Today, Malays have (with the help of UMNO/Article 153) developed an efficient arbitrary and parasitical relationship with Chinese and Hindu Malaysians. Hopefully, a Third Force will increase People Power and reduce UMNO power and the power of Article 153 of the Federal Constitution. We have to choose between People Power and UMNO power.

Now, let's discuss the Malay Regiment. The Malay regiment has nothing to do with Malaysia First or People Power. Unlike other Malaysian Regiments, the Malay Regiment is a special regiment. The Malay Regiment is the only regiment that is allowed to recruit Muslims and Malays. Yes, only Muslims and Malays can join the Malay Regiment. Why only Muslims and Malays? The Malay regiment is a segregated regiment. Why? The Malaysian armed forces must be integrated. We, the non-Muslims, need an answer. It is all about Malaysia first or Islam first. The non-Muslim Malaysians need unambiguous answers. Does the Malay Regiment serve the Muslims or Malaysia? Does the Malay Regiment fight for Malaysia or Islam? The Malay Regiment has to choose between Islam and Malaysia because they cannot have both. As a matter of fact, all Malaysian citizens should put Malaysia first. Even the King/Agung should always put Malaysia first. Even the Constitution of Malaysia should put Malaysia and People Power above everything else.

When the constitution itself is biased, then people power become justifiable. When the police, military, and bureaucracy are biased or arbitrary, then people power becomes justifiable.

Dr.Jeffry Kitingan has often been called a frog because he has hopped from one political party to another. He most certainly is a frog. There are advantages at hopping from one political party to another. Being branded a frog is sometimes the best thing. Each time you move from one political party to another, you gain experience. Thus, he has gained a lot of experience. Through trial and error he has learned a lot. Yes, it is true that Dr.Kitingan has hopped from one political party to another, by he has always had Sabah in his heart. He has always been Sabah centric. It does not matter how many political parties he has tried, he is always Sabah centric. Over the past few decades Dr.Kitingan has seen Sabah become poorer and increasingly marginalized under UMNO rule. UMNO armed with Article 153 of the Federal Constitution has become arbitrary and parasitical and turned Sabah into a colony. Actually, Article 153 of the Federal Constitution may be defunct because its 'life' is only for 15 years after independence in year 1957. All these "special rights" for certain groups may be arbitrary.

Thomas Alva Edison said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work". Robert F. Kennedy said, " Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly".
Failure is success if we learn from it. I am sure Dr.Jeffry Kitingan has learned a lot. I hereby would like to ask all Hindu Malaysians to give their support to Dr.Jeffry Kitingan. . I hereby would like to ask all Hindu Malaysians to form an alliance with Dr.Jeffry Kitingan. May he help to create a Malaysia where Malaysian citizens will put Malaysia first. May he help to create a Third Front in Malaysian politics. May all Malaysians who believe that changing faith is an inviolable human right to be supportive of Dr.Jeffry Kitingan.

If the Malaysian government does not put Malaysia first, then Sabah must take the next step; the next step is to completely secede from Malaysia. So, the step by step Sabah plan should be "Malaysia first or secede from Malaysia". It is only fair that Sabah try Malaysia first. Everybody has to put Malaysia first. The Prime Minister has to put Malaysia first. The National Parliament has to put Malaysia first. The Agung/King has to put Malaysia first. The Malaysian armed forces has to put Malaysia first. Malaysia first or secede from Malaysia. I hope all Hindu Malaysians will be supportive of Dr.Jeffry Kitingan.

The Christian Kadazans have to choose between cooperating with Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians on the one hand and cooperating with UMNO/Article 153 of the Federal Constitution on the other hand. If the Christian Kadazans want to cooperate with UMNO, I wish them luck. If the Christian Kadazans want to cooperate with Hindu Malaysians and Chinese Malaysians, they are welcome. I have respect for Christian Kadazans, but they are too small a group to oppose UMNO on their own; and therefore they need the help of other non-Muslim groups.

Another option for Sabahans is to go for full 100% independence. If Sabah secedes and becomes independent, then Sabah and Singapore can have a closer relationship.

Sabah and Sarawak have been turned into colonies of UMNO/Article 153 of the Federal Constitution. Brunei and Singapore have done better because they do not have UMNO.

Now for the important part. A politician needs both local and international support. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan also needs local and international support. It will be the onus of Dr.Kitingan to get support from Sabahans and Sarawakians. That leaves behind international support. It will be the onus of Chinese and Hindu Malaysians to get him support from China and India. It will be the onus of the Christian Malaysians to get him his Western support. Therefore, it is time for the Chinese and Hindu Malaysians to get him support from China and India. Dr.Kitingan can use Chinese Malaysians and Hindu Malaysians to improve his relations with China and India, which will be for the benefit of Sabah First. Dr.Kitingan's trials and tribulations should be explained to China and India. It is time for Chinese and Hindu Malaysians to contact China and India and urge them to keep an eye on this Christian Kadazan Sabahan, Dr.Jeffry Kitingan. With every passing day both China and India are growing socially, politically, and economically; and Dr.Jeffry Kitingan, if he puts Sabah First, will be well advised to improve ties with China and India. In addition, the Third Force is the Borneo Agenda/United Borneo Front needs to bear in mind that the rise of China and India will shift the balance of power.

The Rulers in Malaysia have no elected mandate from the people. The Rulers must voluntarily reduce themselves to a nobody; and the citizens should just ignore the statements from Rulers. People Power must manifest itself. It is People Power that gave India independence from British rule. It is People Power that defeated the Polish communist dictatorship in Poland. It is People Power that ousted former President Marcos from power in Philippines. When the constitution, judicial system, political system, military, police, and bureaucracy are all biased, then people power becomes justifiable. This is the age of people power in Malaysia; and ideally, Malaysia should be decomposed into different interest groups; and each interest group should have a people power of its own to work in its own self-interest. That is, self -interested group with people power. All these self-interest people power groups may end up being kingmakers. Ideally, these different people power groups should conspire among themselves and avoid meeting UMNO people. Ideally, all these people power groups should favor meritocracy over cronyism. Keep avoiding UMNO people. Keep voting against UMNO.

No person in his right mind can take Prophet Mohamed as a role model because Prophet Mohamed is an epileptic pedophile. It is time for Muslims to go into introspection. It is time for Muslims to detach from Prophet Mohamed. Righteous Muslims must have the moral courage to condemn Prophet Mohamed and distance themselves from the Koran; and I think the world has the right to expect such a step from righteous Muslims. The Muslims have remained silent for too long about certain negative things about Islamic history. Some Muslims must be bold enough to condemn Prophet Mohamed. Changing faith is an inviolable human right. I can tell you that if Muslims want to solve the problem, then they should have an independent mind, not just toe the line of the Koran. If Muslims want to solve the problem, then Muslims must detach from the Koran. Muslims must go beyond the Koran. If Prophet Mohamed is an epileptic pedophile, then the next step for Muslims with moral courage is to distance themselves from Prophet Mohamed. I will not blame today's Muslims for what Prophet Mohamed did. But not condemning the Prophet Mohamed is to remain silent. Remaining silent is wrong. May the truth prevail. The behavior of Prophet Mohamed epitomizes a " do as I say and not as I do" culture; and this "do as I say and not as I do" culture is nothing to be proud of. Good Muslims who condemn Prophet Mohamed will earn respect from non-Muslims. It is time for Muslims to stop living on half-truth. It is time for Muslims to grow up and face the truth. I challenge my beloved Muslim brothers and sisters to be supportive of righteousness and break the silence. Please break the silence and condemn Prophet Mohamed. They say that there is no creation without destruction. It is time to destroy Prophet Mohamed so that we can have a new beginning. The world deserves a new beginning. It's about the search for the truth; and may the truth prevail. People must be supportive of the truth.

We need groups that can claim to be kingmakers. We need cooperation among kingmakers. We need a conspiracy among kingmakers. We need unity among kingmakers. We need kingmakers who favor a Malaysia which is well integrated into world trade. We need kingmakers who favor meritocracy over cronyism.

Should we tolerate a welfare state and mixed economy? Yes. I don't mind paying more taxes to put some Malays on dole so that the competitive economy may be devoid of some uncompetitive Malays, to put it bluntly. If we put some uncompetitive Malays on dole, then there will be greater meritocracy in the economy and hiring process; which in turn will keep the economy investor friendly. The economy must be allowed to hire based on merit; and the unemployed can collect dole, sit at home and watch TV all day. The less government and politics interferes in the economy, the better it is. We have to keep the hiring process competitive to be investor friendly. Cronyism has to stop. In short, it is a battle between two systems, cronyism and meritocracy. Please support meritocracy. Again, people power groups should conspire to avoid UMNO.

Many non-Malays complain that the government sector has employed far too many Malays. It denies government sector job opportunities to non-Malays. UMNO is responsible. We need an understanding among the various people power groups. The self-interest people power groups should conspire to avoid dealing with UMNO.

Britain has to hold herself responsible for abandoning the non-Muslims to the mercy of UMNO/Article 153 of the Federal Constitution. East Timor/Portuguese Timor or Timor Liste required United Nations intervention for her to get independence from Indonesia. The non-Muslims of Malaysia should urge Britain to discuss the plight of the non-Muslims of Malaysia with the permanent members of the UN Security Council(UNSC) and India. Please inform Dr.Jeffry Kitingan that he must get the support of the permanent members of the UNSC (and India) if he ever dreams of a better deal for Sabah. He must understand that there are similarities between Sabah and Timor Liste. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan must hold the British responsible for abandoning Sabah to the mercy of UMNO/Article 153 of the Federal Constitution. With the rise of China and India, the balance of power will shift.

Please pass the word around to all Hindu Malaysians to keep an eye on Dr.Jeffry Kitingan at the political level. Dr.Jeffry Kitingan is a Christian and therefore all Christian Malaysians should be supportive of him. Either the Federal government put Malaysia first or they allow Sabah to secede. That's it. Please feel free to copy and re-mail this composition to anybody. Those who receive this composition should re-mail it to others. Simply reading my posting and ignoring it will not help. Please read my posting and re-mail it to whoever it may concern.
