I witnessed the peaceful protest by the Hindraf supporters outside the state assembly building as I was passing by the Ipoh State Building.
There were a just handful of Indians holding placards, asking for land titles. Just for these few harmless people, the police were in full force, diverting all traffic, placing roadblocks, and bringing in the FRU.
The police were also brandishing sub machine guns.
Oh man, this really shows the fear of Barisan Nasional… and how they manipulate and misuse instruments of state such as the police. Shameful.
