Najib and Rosmah owe RPK a big round of thanks which RPK lost his credibility to Malaysians

Written by Iskandar Dzulkarnain, Malaysia Chronicle

A Statutory Declaration made three years ago by Raja Petra Kamaruddin made the headlines. The contents of the SD were made public many times in the past insinuating that Najib and Rosmah were allegedly involved in the Altantuya Controversy. Although the SD clearly indicated that no formal accusation was made against the First Couple by RPK, many who read it were led to believe otherwise. How could the Malaysian Public be so misled? Why did it take so long for the truth to surface?

Two days before the Sarawak election, TV3 aired an interview taken 2 months ago in Australia of RPK denying that the contents of the SD were allegations against the First Couple. RPK said he had on no account said that the First Couple was involved.

The interview went on to reveal a conspiracy of the highest order. Allegedly involved was Tengku Razaleigh, Anwar Ibrahim, Kolonel Bul, and others who allegedly conspired to prevent Najib from ascending the Prime Ministership.

What really stands out other than RPK’s denial, and the finger pointing was the fact that Datuk Seri Najib, the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the CEO of the country was an innocent victim of an evil Conspiracy to prevent him from being Prime Minister. A post that befitted him from the start, Najib rose from rank and file in UMNO to what he is today. He was the logical choice and pre-ordained by virtue of his presidency in UMNO and Head of the Barisan Nasional coalition.

What comes to mind now is: Did this incident have any impact on DS Najib? Did the guilt conscience impaired his past decisions to govern this country? Would Malaysia have been any better if an untainted Najib was helming this nation? Did Najib’s enemies play along with this guilt trip to influence Najib’s decisions as head of state? Was BN weakened by such allegations?

Did the people in the country that was conned to believe these allegations harbour a warped view of the Prime Minister have any impact on Najib’s current government? There seem to be very little done by the MSM to improve Najib’s image. Why is this so?

Imagine, how Najib had to suffer, unconsciously maligned and living daily with a lie that he could not do much about? How did our First Lady cope with such injurious allegations all this while? And Rosmah had to live with that fact for three years. How unfair is that?

If the first couple never had to go through all this, would Najib have been an Angel after all? Would Najib had taken the bull by its horns and started reforms for a better Malaysia? Was Najib a victim of a compromised smear campaign, prevented from exercising his full power to execute his decisions, due to pressure groups ? Was his actions disciplined by his enemies determined to use this smear campaign as a weapon against him?

Why hasn’t much been done to wrap up this tragic incident? Wasn’t it God’s Grace that Najib went on to become Prime Minister when on 2 occasions it nearly slipped his grasp? The 2nd incident mentioned is the Sept 16th where again Tengku Razaleigh’s name cropped up. Why was there so little news about this incident, both by the ruling coalition and the opposition? Doesn’t the Public have a right to know what went on during Sept 16th?

The allegations against Najib was not only severely debilitating but highly injurious as well, and even after RPK’s refutation, there are still many out there sceptical or oblivious of the fact that Najib has been vindicated. For this, many of us owe him a personal apology. We may not like him or what he represents, but it is not an excuse for us to say sorry if we had harboured any personal grudge against him over this incident.

Remember how he tried vehemently to deny these allegations? Remember how, the public indirectly but relentlessly prosecuted him? How incessant rumours of his photos with Altantuya were surfacing in Paris and Singapore? Imagine the unseen forces that were involved to discredit him? In the end he even had to swear on the Koran so that people would believe him? Imagine the desperation and the embarrassiment he must have felt as a leader of the nation to resort to such a stand. Shame on us, Malaysians! And you too, RPK!

Now that the truth is out, will he have it in his heart to forgive RPK for all the three years of pain, and sorrow? Or will he take his revenge. Now that RPK has pointed fingers at Anwar, is it any wonder that Anwar is facing a sodomy and sex video charge? If this incident did not happen, would Anwar be in this situation?

Also if the vicious allegations weren’t present at that particular time, would our view of him be any different? Or would we think of him as another Pak Lah? Helming the nation at such an unfortunate time, as a helpless victim with a guilt trip, could also have an impact on the future of our nation.

We also have to come to terms, and ask ourselves who are his enemies? Is it from the Opposition? Does he have enemies in UMNO as well, who doesn’t want him up there, for whatever reasons? Could Najib had been Malaysia’s saviour? Given a free rein to run the nation, without any skeletons in the closet, could he have been another Tunku Abdul Rahman?

Is it too late for him now to even the score? Will he have the courage to put these setbacks behind him and do what he always envisioned should he ever become Prime Minister of this nation? Would Malaysia have seen better days? Has this incident destroyed BN’s chances to rule this nation in the future?

And what of our beloved Rosmah? Will she come out of the closet and breathe a sigh of relief, and thank God that the truth is finally out? Will she be a better companion to Najib and assist him to administer the affairs of state? For the First Couple, is it not Lonely at the top?

Is it too late now to salvage what is left of the truth? Will Malaysians start to have faith in this man again? It’s a small world, and what goes around will come around! The Truth will find you out. So long live Najib, and may he continue to lead this nation to greater glory, and that Malaysians get to live happily ever after.

On another note RPK was picked up the Malaysian Police while in Bangkok, to give a voluntary statement at the Malaysian Embassy. Refusing to go to the Malaysian Embassy to make the statement he is believed to be safe at the Hotel in Bangkok. At the time of print, it is uncertain whether RPK did give his voluntary statement to the Police.

But what is curious is why such a fuss and so much confusion. After all, Thailand and Malaysia are supposed to have special ties and if our police really wanted to arrest RPK, their Thai counterparts would help. Just say the word. But why didn't our proud boys from the PDRM say anything? It's so baffling. And why should RPK's friends say they tried to trap him if they didn't? Now again, who is telling truth or was it all just another publicity make-over attempt, this time for RPK. Who knows Najib and Rosmah may need him again and without credibility, they may not achieve reincarnation the next time.

P.S. The Opposition may take this as crap. But we would never ever employ Evil to fight Good. If our First Couple is innocent, we should accept the fact that we were wrong. Everyone is Innocent, until proven Guilty. Like the two cops. Poor things, they are waiting for the final day to be Hanged. Life can be funny.
