UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak orders “ethnic cleansing” of PPR Air Panas, Setapak Kuala Lumpur Hindu Temple. But HRP stopped same.

P1010012

This morning (21/5/2011) at about 9.30 am P.Uthayakumar received an SOS telephone call from P.Sivalinggam of Setapak that the above Hindu temple is about to be demolished by some 100 racist UMNO DBKL Malay Muslim enforcement personnel, bulldozers, Malay-sian Police and even a tow truck headed by an UMNO “tuan” Chief Enforcement Officer Zulhairan bin Mohd Isa.

This is despite HRP’s letter dated 10/5/2011 to the One Malay-sian Prime Minister Y.A.B Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, Federal Territories and Urban Well Being Minister Y.B. Dato’ Raja Nong Chik Bin Dato’ Raja Zainal Abidin and Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Fuad Bin Ismail not to do so but instead and which was followed by the Protest Soodam.

The racist UMNO Malay-sian government refused to reply but today came to “ethnically cleanse” yet another Hindu temple with impunity . At about 10.00 am, P.Uthayakumar arrived and straight asked Zulhairam Bin Mohd Isa the DBKL Chief Enforcement Officer for the Court Order. He immediately backed off and said they would come on another day.

P.Uthayakumar then addressed the about 100 Hindus who had gathered to stop the racist UMNO “ethnic cleansing” of their Hindu temple. When people started shouting “Hindraf” and “Valga ”, “UMNO zalim” and “UMNO kejam” etc the bulldozer backed off and took off and so did all the 100 DBKL and the racist Police Raja Di-Malaysia personnel..

P. Uthayakumar then told Y.B. Tian Chua, the Member of Parliament for Batu to raise and for his 73 PR MPs’ including their 11 Indian mandore MPs’ in Parliament that in this area there are 8 blocks of flats and with about 5,000 Hindus: and:-

1. Why can’t this local area have a Hindu temple?

2. Why wasn’t a land alienated for a Hindu temple when this PPR flats were being planned itself. This was in fact asked by a furious Indian poor lady Muniammah who added that a grand masjid was rightly planned and build anyway?

3. The Federal Territories and Urban Well Being Minister had specifically made a Parliamentary statement in 2008 that no more Hindu temples would be demolished in the Federal Territories. And today Tian Chua was witnessing the same. P.Uthayakumar specifically told Tian Chua that with the breach of this Ministerial Statement he as the local Member of Parliament must move a motion in the Parliament for the sacking of the Federal Territories and Urban Well Being Minister. P. Uthayakumar then pointed out that in the Western Democracies, the Minister would have resigned on his own anyway.

4. Why isn’t there a Death ceremony hall built for the 5,000 Hindus? But the Malay Muslims have the same at the local PPR Flats Masjid. Each time there is a death “under UMNO temporary solution for the Indian poor racist agenda” it has to be done under a temporary tent in a public area. And we are human beings , not animals!

Why isn’t there even this very basic facility for this community of 5,000 Indian Hindus? The learned Member of Parliament just nodded his head but we know PKR, DAP, and PAS is not going to do anything as there is no or very little political mileage to be made from the Indian poor for him or PR.

P.Uthayakumar was then taken to the DBKL food stall area and shown how out of the 20 over stalls only one Indian was given a stall. An Indian lady Muniammah even pointed out a very valid point there are four Malay Muslim stalls all selling the very same nasi lemak and another 10 stalls selling the very same menu Malay food and three selling the very same roti canai. And why can’t there be an Indian shop selling vadai, another Indian rice menu for lunch and dinner, another Tosai, idly, apam, another selling muruku, omapudi, sundry shop, vegetables and provisions etc.

So much so that six Indian petty traders have to put up tents to sell flowers, vegetables and groceries under the hot sun even though they have been doing business for over the last 7 years, they were denied stalls or DBKL licenses. In fact the racist DBKL broke down their earlier stalls on a concrete cement place nearby just last month.

As a prelude P.Uthayakumar had asked the 100 or so Indian poor present to come, tell and send SMS to at least 10 people each to attend a special prayers at this very same temple at 11.00 am next Sunday 29/5/2011 in a show of Solidarity and that he would be present.

Another Indian poor lady said a Malay Muslim policeman threatened to arrest the local boys later tonight and later this week in retaliation. To this P.Uthayakumar replied that we have to camp outside the police station in large numbers.

After more shouts of “ Hindraf Valge” the crowd dispersed peacefully at about 11.30am. P.Uthayakumar later visited the nearby Indian poor flower, vegetable and provision stalls and saw the 98% Malay Muslim stalls in the food court and the 100% Malay Muslim only sundry shops at the ground floor of the Flats. But why are the Indian poor segregated?

When he was taking a photo of the flower shop with an Indian poor elderly lady owner, P.Uthayakumar remarked that the lady looked more beautiful than the flowers and there was a round of laughter from Siva, Rishi, Ganesan, Devan, Papathy, Muniammah, Rani and the others present who had accompanied him.
