Latest from MCA Dirty Tactics in Tenang: Anti-Islam leaflets

Written by Administrator

MCA has once again resorted to striking fear amongst the Chinese voters with PAS' Islamic state agenda, dragging its rival DAP into the mudfight.

In its first batch of Tenang by-election campaign leaflets, MCA pushes its message that DAP is subservient to PAS and the latter's Islamic state agenda.

One leaflet caricatures PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang giving a songkok (Malay traditional headgear) to a delighted Lim Kit Siang, DAP's advisor .

The caption reads, "I don't object to you being my deputy prime minister, but only if you are a Muslim.”

Another leaflet reproduces a Chinese newspaper cutting that said that Abdul Hadi was Pakatan Rakyat's choice as prime minister should it come to power, because he was more qualified than PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.

"Long live the Islamic state!" read the leaflet.

MCA's campaign in Tenang has thus far hinged on its assault against PAS' Islamic state agenda, with party president Dr Chua Soi Lek making playing up the issue that PAS candidate Normala Sudirman wouldn't even shake hands with her non-Muslim constituents.

Another strategy used in the leaflets is to illustrate the 12 Pakatan lawmakers and two former leaders who have quit their parties.

"Pakatan is divided. There has been non-stop infighting and they have failed to show their ability to govern. Vote BN representatives who will serve you loyally," read the leaflet.

'Wearing songkok betrays Chinese'

Meanwhile, Labis MCA division has published a full colour bulletin titled Akhbar Rakyat (People's paper) that zeroes in on Pakatan's 100-day reform pledges.

The newsle tter, with pictures of Anwar, Lim and PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, calls the reforms that Pakatan promises to implement within the first 100 days of taking over Putrajaya, a “bluff”.

The eight-page newsletter contained articles that criticise the viability of the pledges and list out 10 alleged unfulfilled election promises made by opposition parties in the last general election.

“Please explain the 10 unfulfilled promises before you talk about new promises,” read the newsletter.

Amongst others, the newsletter said that Pakatan's unfulfilled promises includes promises for a welfare state, implementing local government elections, failing to keep Penang water tariffs down and failure to curb illegal sand mining in Selangor.

The back page of the newsletter carried an article that condemned DAP for backtracking on its policy not to wear the songkok at official functions.

"DAP has given up its principles in the past. Now DAP is wearing the songkok. Isn't this a betrayal to the Chinese community?"

Apart from leaflets condemning the opposition, some also attempt to highlight what it claims are contributions to the Chinese community.

Amongst others, MCA is claiming credit for government scholarships to Chinese students, increased funding for Chinese schools, greater recognition of independent Chinese high schools and the establishment of the 1MCA medical fund.

Singapore Free Air TV - What does RTM and monopolist Media Prima provides to Indian community?

BOYCOTT MALAYSIAN TV STATIONS CAMPAIGN!!!

BOYCOTT ALL ADVERTISEMENTS SHOWN IN THESE STATIONS - TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7, TV8 & TV9

WE SHOULD TEACH THESE MORONS A LESSON.

WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE FOR THE GOVERNMENT THAT PRACTICES DISCRIMINATORY POLICIES?

Every Mondays to Fridays Singapore TV station (Vasantham) provides free programmes to Indian communities from 3.00 pm to 12.00 midnight

Every Saturdays and Sundays the programmes starts at 1.00 pm to 12.00 midnight.

Look at the contribution of Malaysian government TV (RTM), TV1 & TV2 serving Indian community in Malaysia.

Malaysian Monopolist Media Prima (TV3, NTV7, TV8 & TV9) serves "0" programmes for Indian community.
How Malaysians watch their pathetic and idiotic programmes?

How shall we deal with these racists?

They are not bothered of the existence of Indian communities in Malaysia.

How does MIC deals with this problem? As usual no issue for them.

It is high time for Indians to demand for a FREE AIR TV station for their own community as they have been deprived by their own government to serve minority community.

If Singapore government is very concerned of minority community, why not Malaysian govt. Why Malaysian govt has to practice discriminatory policies?

Vasantham: Singapore Channel E24 (Tamil)

All Indians in Malaysia should unite to overcome the discrimination towards Indians in Malaysia.

mi1 is going to highlight this issue until 13th General Election and till Indians in Malaysia been awarded a new Free air TV station from Malaysian government.
