IPOH: Perak State Assembly Speaker Datuk R. Ganesan will be referred to the Rights and Privileges Committee on Monday, said former assembly speaker V. Sivakumar.
Sivakumar who claimed to be the rightful Speaker said this followed a complaint letter from State Assemblyman Yee Seu Kai (DAP-Pokok Assam) who wanted Ganesan to be referred to the committee for insulting the assembly.
He said Ganesan would be asked to explain his action during the assembly sitting on May 7 which he claimed to be against the law and an insult to the assembly.
Sivakumar also described Ganesan’s directive allowing the police to enter the assembly on May 7 as a criminal act.
