HINDRAF in support - New Tamil School in Serendah, Hulu Selangor. Hundreds of it’s kind denied in the past by UMNO controlled government.

2-1-2012, around 50 families from Serendah and HINDRAF Coordinators gathered to show their grievance on the delay of building a newTamil School in Serendah, which has been initiated over 10 years ago.

According to them, In 2008 UMW Holdings Bhd has donated a two-acre plot in Serendah worth RM544,500 to be used for the building of a new Tamil School. Further to this the BN Government had granted RM1 million for the said new Tamil School project. Despite all this the project is not getting anywhere. Even Foreigners can set up private schools in Malaysia but in our own country Malaysian Indians are helpless despite 13 Indian MP’s representation in Parliament

We want an immediate interference from Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to solve this issue which is delayed for 3 years since the land was allocated.

· Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim must investigate & ensure that the located land from UMW transfered to theNew Tamil School & probe why it is taking such a long time although the school licence, land allocation & RM1 million fund is granted from Federal Government.

Thanks & Regards
K.Selvam
